Biden Delivers Proclamation

BIDEN ISSUES PROCLAMATION ON TULSA MASSACRE AT WHITE HOUSE

" I Call On The American People To Recommit To The Work Of Rooting Out Systemic Racism Across Our Country."

May 31, 2021 By Art Fletcher, Morell Morand, & Leonard Madison Reporting For: Englebrook Independent News

WASHINGTON, DC.- President Biden, today issued a proclamation to remember the 1921 race massacre in Tulsa, Oklahoma, calling on Americans to work to eradicate systemic racism and pledging to further racial justice.

" I call upon the people of The United States to commemorate the tremendous loss of life and security that occurred over those two days in 1921, to celebrate the bravery and resilience of those who survived and sought to rebuild their lives again, and commit together to eradicate systemic racism and to help rebuild communities, and the lives that have been destroyed by it," Biden said in the proclamation.

During the days of May 31st and June 1, 1921, white rioters ravaged the wealthy Black Community of Greenwood, a center of Black- Owned Businesses, known as, " Black Wall Street, " in Tulsa Oklahoma. The riot killed hundreds of Black Residents and left Greenwood wavering.

No residents who survived the massacre or their relatives have been given any compensation in return. Insurance Companies refuted and denied most of the claims, which today would be worth more than $28 million. Approximately 10,000 resident were left homeless.

" I call on the American people to reflect on the deep roots of racial terror in our Nation and recommit to the work of rooting out systemic racism across our country," Biden further said in the proclamation, today, in which he committed to remove systemic racism from policies, laws, and hearts.

In the proclamation, Biden also called on The Federal Government to " reckon with and acknowledge " how it has " stripped " wealth and opportunity from Black Communities." He stated his Administration was " committed to acknowledge" how federal policy affected Greenwood.

The President said that laws and policies made recuperating from the massacre " nearly impossible " including Federal Highway construction splitting the community.

Biden also pledged that his Administration would tackle racial inequities in a number of ways, including infrastructure, environmental justice, and monies for businesses in " economically disadvantaged " regions, and particular for minority owned businesses.

On Tuesday, Biden will visit Tulsa, where he will give a deliver a speech on the massacre, and meet with survivors.

The Centennial comes just over a year after the Nation faced reckoning following the murder of George Floyd, a Black man, by a white Minneapolis Police Officer. Earlier this year, The Center for Disease Control and Prevention declared racism a " severe public health threat," with Director Rochelle Walensky pointing to "severe" and " unacceptable " inequities in health outcomes across racial and ethnic lines.

" All indications are that the suspect was prepared. The alertness of the Security Coordinator saved lives here and prevented a very major event," said Shermann. " The Security Coordinators are the last line of defense for the residents. Their determination, professionalism and quick response to the events, is what makes the difference between ending an incident successfully, or a bereaved family," he added.

According the Israel NGO Regavim, the Officer's weapon was impounded following a complaint filed against him by Bedouin suspects he apprehended last year. Guilty Verdict In Mollie Tibbetts' Murder

CRISTHIAN BEHENA RIVERA GUILTY OF FIRST-DEGREE MURDER OF MOLLIE TIBBETTS

" After 7 Hours Of Deliberations, Jury Returns Guilty Verdict To Charges Of First-Degree Murder."

May 30, 2021 By Art Fletcher & Leonard Madison, Reporting For : Englebrook Independent News,

DAVENPORT, IOWA.- Prosecutors on Friday said they hope they brought " A Sense Of Justice " to the family of Mollie Tibbetts after a jury convicted Cristhian Bahena Rivera, of First-Degree Murder, nearly three years after the 20-year-old college student from Brooklyn, Iowa disappeared.

Tibbetts, a University of Iowa student, went out for a run on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, and never returned. The search for her drew national attention. After a month long manhunt, Bahena Rivera, a Mexican National led investigators to a rural cornfield, where they found her remains.

During the two-week trial, jurors heard that investigators had identified Bahena Rivera's car circling the area where Tibbetts was last seen. During a lengthy interview with police, Bahena Rivera, admitted to following Tibbetts, who he found " hot." He later investigators that he had fought with her, and said, he blacked-out, later realizing that Tibbets' bloodied body was in the trunk of his car. He further said, he carried her body to the cornfield, and covered her body with cornstalks. Forensic experts blood smears with Tibbetts' DNA in the trunk of his car.

The jury consisting of five women and seven men deliberated for just a little over seven hours Thursday and Friday before returning their verdict shortly after 1:00 p.m. Bahena Rivera showed little reaction as the verdict was read, he was then led from the courtroom in handcuffs.

The mandatory sentence in Iowa for First-Degree Murder, carries a term of life in prison without the possibility of parole. The sentencing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on July 15th at the Poweshiek County Courthouse in Montezuma, Iowa.

Prosecutors Scott Brown and Bart Klaver told reporters they had spoken with the Tibbetts' family, who watched the verdict from a room across the hall, from the courtroom, and Brown said they were "relieved" and " Pleased with the verdict." family members did not address reporters after the verdict.

Bahena Rivera's attorneys, however promised an appeal.

Attorneys for Rivera argued throughout the trial, there were other suspects, including Mollie's boyfriend, Dalton Jack. On Wednesday Bahena Rivera took the stand in his own defense and admitted leaving Mollie's body in the cornfield, but denied killing her. Instead, he said, two armed mask men came to his home and forced him to drive them to a rural road, where one of them killed her, then ordered him to take her body to the cornfield. The men then threatened Rivera's young daughter and his ex-girlfriend in order to secure his silence, Rivera said.

Bahena Rivera's testimony on Wednesday was the first time Prosecutors or the public heard Rivera's version of events.

Prosecutors stated that the verdict should clear any suspicion of other possible suspects, named by defense attorneys. Prosecutors made clear that Bahena Rivera was the only person they considered to be a suspect in the case.

In the end, Prosecutors believe Bahena Rivera's testimony on Wednesday, helped more than hurt the Prosecution.

Albert Roman, 51, died Wednesday evening of a apparently " self-inflicted injury," County Spokesman Jim Kennelly reported.

Medical attention was promptly rendered, and Mr. Roman was transported to Jersey City Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injury, and was pronounced dead at around 5:00 p.m. Wednesday may 26th, Kennelly further reported.

Information on Roman's cause of death was not released.

Roman had been arrested by North Bergen Police back in November and charged with violating a restraining order, criminal mischief and contempt of court. He was in custody and was scheduled to be sentenced next week.

Hudson County Department of Corrections Director Ronald Edwards said, Roman's suicide was " unexpected," and reported Roman had not been on suicide watch.

During a five-year span, between the years of 2013 to 2018, the jail experienced an increased number of deaths, four of which were suicides.

In the wake of those deaths, county correctional officials canceled its contract with the jails health provider, and began a multimillion- dollar, renovation project at the facility, which involved the installation of anti-suicide measures in cells, bathrooms, and in common areas.

The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office is investigating the death along with the State's Attorney General's Office.

Senate Questions Biden's Choice To Head ATF

BIDENS NOMINEE TO HEAD THE ATF COMES UNDER SCRUTINY

" David Chipman, Slated By Biden To Head-Up The ATF Comes Under Intense Scrutiny By Senate Republicans."

May 27, 2021 By: Art Fletcher & Leonard Madison, Opinion Reporting For: Englebrook Independent News,

WASHINGTON-  A person once told me, " Guns Don't Kill People, people Kill People." The person who told me that 30-years ago, was shot six times in Newark, NJ., while I was visiting him in the hospital.

Yesterday as President Biden's pick to head-up The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, was grilled by Senate Republicans.   It's clear now David Chipman is on a path to deprive americans their constitutional right to own firearms.

Chipman's answers to questioning, at times vague and combative, prove with everything that is unfolding in the country today, gives further insight and  clarity to what the Biden Administration has instore for  the future of america.

David Chipman's past statements and with answers he gave yesterday, are as pathological as DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas claims that our southern border is closed.

Although President Biden made a show of talking up Chipman's 25-years as an ATF Agent, Chipman's untrustworthiness should be closely monitored.

The President failed say that those years weren't without lingering questions. Chipman was a case agent in the Branch Davidian trial, while he was stationed in Waco, Texas, from 1993 to 1998. Chipman's reported claims Branch Davidians downed helicopters with .50- caliber rounds, during the 51 day siege, were factually untrue. A U.S. House of Representatives report indicated that no helicopters downed or any crew hurt.

Chipman's antipathy wasn't limited to Waco. He ridiculed the 8.4 million first-time gun buyers as fearful and preparing " for the end of times scenarios and zombie apocalypses."

" If you didn't think you needed a gun prior to March of this year, you certainly don't need to rush out and get one now," Chipman added.

The ATF, the main agency that enforces Federal Gun Laws, hasn't had a confirmed Director in six years. It has only had one since Congress made the position and the Senate approved the position in 2006. In large part, observers say, because of the opposition from The National Rifle Association, and other gun rights groups.

For years Democrats have been trying to increase regulations banning certain types of guns. " Gun violence is a public health crisis that requires not just thoughts and prayers, but urgent action. Yet as tens of thousands of americans lose their lives to gun violence each year. One of the primary agencies charged with the epidemic has not had a Senate-Confirmed Director," said Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Dick Durbin, ( D-Ill.).

Chipman has a deep, inside understanding of the ATF. He worked for the bureau for almost 25-years, beginning his career as a special agent in Norfolk, Va.

" He was very good, very intelligent, accurate in his everyday work investigations," said Ron Tarrington, a now-retired ATF agent who was Chipman's supervisor in Norfolk.

Chipman responded to two of the highest-profile terrorist attacks of  the 1990's, the bombing of The World Trade Center in New York City in 1993 and the blast two-years later in Oklahoma City.

He was sent to Waco, Texas, after the disastrous ATF Raid on The Branch Davidians compound. To assist the trial team in the aftermath.

Over the years, Chipman was promoted to more senior supervisory roles in the ATF office throughout the U.S., including his home state of Michigan, and the agencies headquarters in Washington, D.C. He retired from the bureau in 2021.

Since the, he has become an outspoken advocate for gun violence prevention. He has advocated for tougher gun laws, including limits on high-capacity magazines, and assault-style weapons.

His advocacy role has inflamed many Republicans as well as pro-gun groups including The National Rifle Association. On Tuesday, 20 Republican State's Attorney General's wrote to several U.S. Senators, urging them to vote against Chipman.

If Chipman is confirmed by a 50-50 split in the Senate, with Vice-President Kamala Harris casting the deciding vote. His first order of business should be to encourage the Justice Department to pursue criminal prosecution against Hunter Biden, the President's son for falsifying information on the ATF-4473 firearms transaction form.

Democrats in the Senate need to look at Chipman's performance in his home state before the vote. Michigan has been has been plagued with gun-toting militias for the past three decades, if the want him to advance their political agendas.

As Biden and Democratic House Representatives keep up the pressure in defunding the police agencies throughout the nation, and with the ever- increasing surge of violence, in 2021. We need to understand that the Democrats either have a hidden agenda, or frankly none of them no what they are doing.
