LYNDHURST, NJ.- On Friday, August 6, 2021 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of Paul S. An, 26, of Lyndhurst, New Jersey on a charge of distribution of child pornography. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love.
On Thursday, July 29, 2021, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at the residence of Paul S. An during an Internet child pornography investigation. The investigation revealed that Mr. An used the Internet to view, download, and share approximately 110 digital files depicting nude and/or sexually explicit prepubescent children.
As a result of the investigation, Paul S. An was arrested on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, in Paramus, NJ and charged with Three Counts of Second Degree Distribution of Child Pornography, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4(b)5(a)i. AN was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.
