CAMDEN, NJ.- On Friday, July 29, 2022, Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay announced that following a Nine-Day Trial, a Camden County Jury has returned Guilty Verdicts against Gloucester Township woman in connection with the Death of her 17-Month-Old Son.



     On Thursday, July 28, 2022, a Jury Convicted Heather Reynolds of Murder; Possession of Methamphetamine; and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.


     On May 10, 2018, Members of The Gloucester Township Police Department responded on a report of an unresponsive child on a lawn near the child's residence, on Marcia Court in The Sicklerville Section of Gloucester Township.


     The results of an autopsy determined the cause of Death was Asphyxia and the manner of Death to be that of Homicide.


     Ms. Reynolds has been scheduled in Camden County Superior Court for October, 2022.

CLIFTON, NJ.- On Saturday, July 30, 2022, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Clifton Police Chief Thomas Rinaldi announced that based upon an investigation by The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office Vehicular Homicide Unit, and The Clifton Police Department, Edgar Delgado, 31, of Passaic, New Jersey, was Arrested on Friday, July 29, 2022, in connection to a Motor Vehicle Accident that took place early Friday morning, in the area of Central Avenue and Yereance Avenue in Clifton, New Jersey. 



     Mr. Delgado is Charged with Second Degree Assault by Auto Causing Serious Bodily Injury, within 1000 Feet of School Property; Third Degree Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury; Third Degree Endangering an Injured Victim; Third Degree Hindering Apprehension; and Driving While Intoxicated. Mr. Delgado was employed as a Passaic Police Officer, but off duty at the time.


     On Friday, July 29, 2022, at approximately 4:29 a.m., Members of The Clifton Police Department responded to the area of Central Avenue and Yereance Avenue in Clifton, New Jersey on a report of a Multi-Vehicle Motor Vehicle Collision. Upon arrival, Police Officers found Mr. Delgado’s motor vehicle disabled, having struck an unoccupied parked car. 


     The passenger of Mr. Delgado’s vehicle, a 28-Year-Old Clifton, New Jersey woman, was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey for treatment. The investigation determined that Mr. Delgado had been operating his vehicle recklessly, under the influence of alcohol, and left the scene following the crash.

Asbury Park Homicide Investigation

ASBURY PARK, NJ.- On Friday, July 28, 2022, Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey announced that Detectives are actively Investigating the Fatal Shooting that occurred Thursday night in Asbury Park, New Jersey.



     On Thursday, July 28, 2022, Members of The Asbury Park Police Department responded to the area of The 1600 Block of Sewall Avenue on a report of a Shooting.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers located Kyshawn Walker, 33, of Asbury Park, suffering from Multiple Gunshot Wounds. Mr. Walker was immediately transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.


     No Arrests have been made. The investigation remains active and ongoing. Lodi New Jersey Man Charged

LODI, NJ.- On Thursday, July 28, 2022, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of Andy Pena, 41, of Lodi, New Jersey on Charges of Arson, Aggravated Arson, Possession of a Weapon and Attempt to Cause Widespread Injury or Damage. 


     The Arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love, and in conjunction with The Lodi Police Department under the direction of Chief Donald Scorzetti.


     On Tuesday, July 19, 2022, The Lodi Police Department received information from a local business regarding Suspicious Fire Damage on their exterior roof. First Responders arrived on scene and observed approximately three large, burned areas on the roof along with several broken glass bottles.


     The ensuing investigation determined that, in the early morning hours of July 8, 2022, Mr. Pena intentionally set the fire by using glass bottles as hand-thrown incendiary weapons, causing fire damage to the roof of a commercial business. 


     On Thursday, July 28, 2022, Mr. Pena was Arrested and Charged with Second Degree Aggravated Arson; Second Degree Attempt to Cause Widespread Injury or Damage; Third Degree Arson; and Third Degree Possession of a Weapon. 


     Mr. Pena was processed on the offenses and remanded to The Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.

JERSEY CITY, NJ.- On Thursday, July 28, 2022, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced that on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, Nysheed Gleaton, 24, of Bayonne, New Jersey Pleaded Guilty for his role in the Shooting Death of Rasheen Bostick, 32, in Jersey City, New Jersey.


     Mr. Gleaton Pleaded Guilty to One Count of First Degree Aggravated Manslaughter. The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office will be recommending a sentence of Twenty-Two Years in New Jersey State Prison, subject to The No Early Release Act. Sentencing is scheduled for Friday, October 7, 2022 before the Honorable Vincent J. Militello, J.S.C.


     On Sunday, January 23, 2022, at approximately 12:28 p.m., Members of The Jersey City Police Department responded on a report  Shooting in the area of 32 Belmont Avenue. 


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Rasheen Bostick, 32, of Jersey City, New Jersey, suffering from an apparent Gunshot Wound to his chest. Mr. Bostick was immediately transported by Emergency Medical Services to Jersey City Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.

PASSAIC, NJ.- On Thursday, July 27, 2022, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Passaic Police Chief Luis A. Guzman announced that based upon an investigation by The Passaic Police Department, Brandon Morales, 18, of Passaic, New Jersey, has been Arrested in connection to a shooting investigation that took place July 21, 2022, in the area of Passaic Street and 8 th Street in Passaic, New Jersey. 



     Mr. Morales is Charged with Second Degree Aggravated Assault; Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Firearm; Second Degree Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; Second Degree Certain Persons Not to Have Weapons; and Fourth Degree Criminal Mischief.


     On Thursday, July 21, 2022, at approximately 9:00 p.m., Members of The Passaic Police Department responded to the area of Passaic Street and 8 th Street in Passaic, New Jersey on a report of a Shooting. 


     Upon arrival, Police Officers located a potential crime scene and a 19-Year-Old  Passaic, New Jersey man who had sustained a non-life threatening Gunshot Wound. The victim was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey for treatment. Based on the investigation, Brandon Morales was identified as the shooter and a warrant was issued for his arrest.


     On Sunday, July 24, 2022, Members of The Passaic Police Department Arrested Mr. Morales in the area of Passaic Street and State Street in Passaic, New Jersey.


     If Convicted The sentencing exposure for Mr.  Morales on Second Degree Aggravated Assault is Five to Ten Years in New Jersey State Prison with Eighty Five Percent Term of Service before parole eligibility pursuant to The No Early Release Act and Three Years parole supervision upon release; on Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose it is Five to Ten Years in New Jersey State Prison with Forty-Two Months of parole ineligibility pursuant to The Graves Act; on Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon it is Five to Ten Years in New Jersey State Prison with Forty-Two  months of parole ineligibility pursuant to The Graves Act, on Second Degree Certain Persons Not to Have Weapons it is Five to Ten Years in New Jersey State Prison with Five Years of parole ineligibility; and on Fourth Degree Criminal Mischief is up to Eighteen Months in New Jersey State Prison.


     The State has filed a Motion for Pretrial Detention of Brandon Morales.

East Orange Man Pleads Guilty

JERSEY CITY, NJ.- On Wednesday, July 27, 2022, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced that on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, Thaddues Williams, 39, of East Orange, New Jersey Pleaded Guilty in connection with the Shooting Death of Aieshia McFadden, 36, of Jersey City, New Jersey in December of 2020.


     Mr. Williams Pleaded Guilty to One Count of First Degree Aggravated Manslaughter. At the time of sentencing,The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office will be recommending a sentence of Twenty Years in New Jersey State Prison, the sentence will be subject to The No Early Release Act. Sentencing is scheduled before The Honorable Vincent J. Militello, J.S.C. on Friday, October 21, 2022.


     On Friday, December 4, 2020, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Members of The Jersey City Police Department responded to a report of Shots Fired in the area of 217-219 Martin Luther King Drive. 


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found an unresponsive female, later identified as Aieshia McFadden, 36, of Jersey City, New Jersey, suffering from a gunshot wound to her torso. Ms. McFadden was immediately transported by Emergency Medical Services to Jersey City Medical Center where she was pronounced deceased a short time later.

BAYONNE, NJ.- On Wednesday, July 27, 2022, Hudson County Authorities are continuing their investigation into an early Wednesday Morning Fatal Shooting that occurred on West 21st Street.


     At approximately 4:30 a.m., Members of The Bayonne Police Department responded to the area of West 21st Street on multiple reports of Shots Fired.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered a person inside a vehicle, who had succumbed to multiple Gunshot Wounds, the victim was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene. An unidentified woman who was inside the vehicle was uninjured during the Shooting.


     No Arrest have been made at this time. Hudson County Prosecutor's Office are continuing their investigation into the circumstance surrounding this Shooting.

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, NJ.- On Tuesday, July 26, 2022, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri announced that Detectives from The Mercer County Homicide Task Force are continuing to investigate the circumstance surrounding the death of a woman found in a Hamilton Township Cemetery.


     On Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at approximately 6:45 a.m., Members of The Trenton Police Department responded to the area of Clover Avenue on a report of a person who discovered Human Remains near a Cemetery.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers located a the severely burn remains of a woman, later identified as Lisa Lloyd, 39, of Ewing, New Jersey. 


     The investigation remains active and ongoing. Detectives have identified a person of interest in the Death.

PATERSON, NJ.- On Sunday, July 24, 2022, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora announced that on July 24, 2022, at approximately 11:53 a.m., Members of the Paterson Police Department were notified that a 16-Year-Old Teen had arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey by way of private vehicle seeking treatment for a non-life threatening Gunshot Wound. 


     Based on the preliminary investigation, the Shooting occurred in the area of 10th Avenue and East 26th Street in Paterson, New Jersey. A potential crime scene was located in that area.

Son Charged With Murder Of Mother

40 YEAR OLD MAN CHARGED WITH MURDER IN THE BEATING DEATH OF HIS 79 YEAR OLD MOTHER 

     " Patrick Maupai Has Been Charged After Striking His Mother Multiple Times With A Fire Place Poker In Their Dumont Home Late Saturday Night."

DUMONT, NJ.- On Sunday, July 24, 2022, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the Arrest of Patrick Maupai, 40, of 124 New Milford Avenue, Dumont, New Jersey on Charges of Murder; Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. 


     The Arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and The Dumont Police Department under the direction of Chief Brian Joyce.



     On Saturday, July 23, 2022, at approximately 11:53 p.m. Members of The Dumont Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call located at 124 New Milford Avenue in Dumont, New Jersey from a man stating that he had Attacked his mother with a Fire Poker. 


     Upon arrival, Police Officers observed a man on the front lawn on the phone with The Police Department. The man identified himself as Patrick Maupai, Police Officers immediately took Mr. Maupai into custody. Upon entering the front door of the home, Police Officers discovered an elderly woman on the floor of the living room with multiple lacerations on her face. An investigation conducted by The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and The Dumont Police Department determined that Mr. Maupai Struck and Killed his mother with a Fire Poker.


     On July 24, 2022, Patrick Maupai was Arrested and Charged with First Degree Murder; Third Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and Fourth Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. 


     Mr. Maupai was processed on the Charges and remanded to The Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, New Jersey pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court.

Jersey City Men Convicted

TWO JERSEY CITY MEN CONVICTED ON CHARGES IN THE OCTOBER 18, 2018 SHOOTING DEATH OF JADE SAUNDERS

JERSEY CITY, NJ.- Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced on Thursday, July 21, 2022, a Hudson County Jury Convicted Alterik Ellis, 29, and Travis DeFoe, 32, both of Jersey City, New Jersey for their roles in the Shooting Death of Jade Saunders, 17, in Jersey City on Friday, October 26, 2018.



     Following a Seven Week Trial before The Honorable Angelo Servidio, J.S.C. Mr. Ellis and Mr. DeFoe were found Guilty of Murder; Conspiracy to Commit Murder; Possession of Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose and Theft of Moveable Property.


     On Friday, October 26, 2018, at approximately 11:35 p.m., Members of The Jersey City Police Department responded to a report of Shots Fired in the area of 76 Brinkerhoff Street. 


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found an unresponsive woman, later identified as Jade Saunders, 17, of Jersey City with an apparent gunshot wound to the upper body. Ms. Saunders had succumbed to her injury and was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene. The Regional Medical Examiner’s Office determined the Cause of Death to be a Gunshot Wound and the Manner of Death to be that of Homicide. Three other individuals were injured during the shooting.

Linden New Jersey Man Charged

 35 YEAR OLD LINDEN MAN CHARGED WITH THE SEXUAL ASSAULTS ON THREE MINORS AND ONE ADULT

     " Johan A. Osorno, 35, Of Linden Was Charged On June 27, 2022 With Multiple Sexual Assault Offenses In Connection To An Investigation By Authorities."

LINDEN, NJ.- On Thursday, July 21, 2022, Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel and Linden Police Chief David Hart announced a Linden man has been Charged after having committed Multiple Sexual Acts with Three Children and One Adult Victim, dating as far back as to 2018.



     Johan A. Osorno, 35, of Linden, New Jersey was Charged with One Count of Second Degree Sexual Assault; Two Counts of Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child; One Count of Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child; Two Counts of Fourth Degree Criminal Sexual Contact and One Count of Fourth Degree Attempted Criminal Sexual Contact.


     In late June, The Linden Police Department responded to a report of a Sexual Assault upon One Male and One Female Minor. The matter was referred The Union County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit. During the course of the investigation, Detectives from The Special Victims Unit learned that there were an additional victims. The first victim, an adult female who reported being molested as a minor between 2018 and 2020, according to Union County Assistant Prosecutor Bryan Tiscia, who is prosecuting the case. An additional female victim, who was an adult at the time she was abused by Mr. Osorno, Assistant Prosecutor Tiscia added.


     Mr. Osorno was Arrested without incident on June 27, 2022 and Lodged in The Essex County Correctional Facility in Newark, New Jersey. After a Pre-Trial Detention Hearing in Union County State Superior Court, a Judge ordered Osorno Detained pending the adjudication of The Charges filed against him.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ.- On Friday, July 22, 2022, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and New Brunswick Police Director Anthony A. Caputo announced that a New Brunswick, New Jersey man has been Charged in connection with a Shooting that occurred on July 16, 2022.


     On July 16, 2022, at approximately 2:43 a.m., Members of The New Brunswick Police Department responded to the area of 142 Remsen Avenue near the Los Amigos Bar, on a report of a shooting.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found one woman and two men who had each sustained non-life threatening Gunshot Wound. All three were immediately transported to a nearby hospital for treatment for their injuries.


     On Thursday, July 21, 2022, an investigation by Detective Keith Walcott of The New Brunswick Police Department and Detective Christopher Pennisi of The Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office concluded with the Arrest of Jhamir Hoagland, 22, of New Brunswick, New Jersey and further determined the the Shooting was a targeted attack.


     Mr. Hoagland has been Charged with Three Counts of First Degree Attempted Murder; and One Count of Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.


     Mr. Hoagland is presently lodged in The Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center pending a Pre-Trial Detention Hearing in Middlesex County Superior Court.

FREEHOLD, NJ.- On Thursday, July 21, 2022, Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey announced that a Freehold Township, New Jersey man has been Convicted by a Monmouth County Jury in connection with the 2017 Possession and Distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Material.


     James Simmons, 74, of Freehold Township, was Convicted on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, of Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child for Distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Material and Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child for Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material.


     The Conviction is the result of a July, 2017 Investigation by The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office in conjunction New Jersey Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and The Freehold Township Police Department. In July, 2017, revealed that Mr. Simmons was found to be in possession of a USB Thumb Drive containing over 100 Videos depicting the Sexual Abuse of a Child, Along with Peer to Peer Sharing Programs contained in Electronic Devices uncovered in Mr. Simmons Harding Road residence in Freehold Township.


     During the Trial, Mr. Simmons testified that the Materials and Files belonged to his son, who had died prior to Simmons' Arrest.


     Mr. Simmons will face the Potential New Jersey State Prison sentence of more than Ten Years and will be subject Megan's Law registration requirements and will be under Parole Supervision for Life. Simmons will be Sentenced on January 13, 2023 in Monmouth County State Superior Court,

Arrest Made In Shooting Investigation

PATERSON, NJ.- On Thursday, July 21, 2022, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora, and Haledon Police Chief Angelo J. Daniele announced that based upon an investigation by The Paterson Police Department, in conjunction with the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, Juan Pereyra, 32,  Paterson, New Jersey, has been Arrested in connection to a Shooting investigation that took place July 2, 2022, in the area of Prospect Street and Market Street in Paterson, New Jersey. 



     Juan Pereyra has been Charged with First Degree Attempted Murder; Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Handgun; Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and Second Degree Certain Persons Not to Have Weapons. Mr. Pereyra has also been Charged with Simple Assault, a Disorderly Persons Offense.


     On July 2, 2022, Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Prospect Street and Market Street in Paterson, New Jersey on a report of Shots Fired. 


     Upon arrival, Police Officers located a crime scene, but no victim was located. Members of the Paterson Police Department were later notified that a 36-Year-Old Haskell, New Jersey man had arrived at Saint Joseph’s Wayne Medical Center in Wayne, New Jersey, by way of private vehicle seeking treatment for a non-life threatening Gunshot Wound. The man was transferred to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey.


     Based on the ensuing investigation, Juan Pereyra was identified as the Shooter and a Warrant was issued for his Arrest. On Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at approximately 7:35 p.m., Members of The Haledon Police Department Arrested Mr. Pereyra in the area of Belmont Avenue and Tilt Street in Haledon, New Jersey.


     The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office has filed a motion for Pretrial Detention that will be heard by the Honorable Joseph A. Portelli, J.S.C. on Tuesday, July 26, 2022.

CAMDEN, NJ.- On Wednesday, July 20, 2022, Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez announced that Detectives are continuing their investigation into the Fatal Shooting of a 40-Year-Old Camden, New Jersey man.


     On Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at approximately 10:57 a.m., Members of The Camden County Metro Police Department responded to Fortuna Grocery, located at Louis and Kaighn Avenues in Camden, New Jersey on reports of a Robbery in progress.



     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a male victim, later identified as Luis Morales inside the store suffering from Gunshot Wounds. Mr. Morales was immediately transported to Cooper University Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was subsequently pronounced deceased at 11:25 a.m.

CAMDEN, NJ.- On Friday, July 15, 2022, Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez announced that Detectives have Charged a Camden, New Jersey man in connection with last month's Fatal Shooting.


     On Friday, July 15, 2022, Derrick Miller was formally Charged with One Count of First Degree Murder and Related Weapons Offenses in the Shooting Death of Charles Copling, 37, of Camden, New Jersey. Mr. Miller current lodged in the Camden County Correctional Facility on other Charges was processed on the Charges and will await a Detention Hearing in Camden County Superior Court.


     On June 17, 2022, at approximately 11:59 a.m. Members of The Camden County Police Department responded to the 1200 Decatur Street on a report of a ShotSpotter Activation. Upon arrival, Police Officers located a victim, later identified as Charles Copling III, lying on the ground suffering from an apparent Gunshot Wound.


     Mr. Copling was immediately transported to Cooper University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injury and was subsequently pronounced deceased four hours later.

Paterson Man Pleads Guilty

PATERSON, NJ.- On Friday, July 15, 2022, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes announced that Jasmir Cleaves, 34, of Paterson, New Jersey, Pleaded Guilty to Aggravated Manslaughter in connection with a Fatal Stabbing. 


     On Friday, August 6, 2021, Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to the YMCA located at 128 Ward Street in Paterson, New Jersey on a report of a Stabbing. Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered a victim lying on the hallway floor suffering from  apparent Stab Wounds. Police Officers immediately began providing medical attention to the victim and requested an ambulance. The victim was transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries and was subsequently pronounced deceased.



     On Friday, July 15, 2022, Mr. Cleaves Pled Guilty to One Count of First Degree Aggravated Manslaughter, before The Honorable Marybel Mercado-Ramirez, J.S.C. Pursuant to the terms of The Plea Agreement, The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office has recommended that Mr. Cleaves serve Twenty-Six Years in New Jersey State Prison, with Eighty-Five term to be service before parole eligibility, pursuant to The No Early Release Act. Upon release from prison, Mr. Cleaves will be subject to a Five Year term of Parole Supervision. Mr. Cleaves Sentencing is scheduled for September 20, 2022, before Judge Ramirez.

WEST NEW YORK, NJ.- On Monday, July 11, 2022, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced that On Sunday, July 10, 2022, Members of The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit Arrested Rogelio Rendon-Mejia, 42, of Hammonton, New Jersey for committing a Sex Crime on a woman in West New York. 


     The crime occurred in the early morning hours of July 10, 2022, following a gathering in an apartment on 51st Street. The victim was not known to Mr. Rendon-Mejia and her 7- Year-Old Son was in the apartment during the alleged attack.


     Mr. Rendon-Mejia has been Charged with Third Degree Aggravated Criminal Sexual Contact, and Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. 


     Rendon-Mejia was taken into custody at The West New York Police Headquarters and transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility pending his first court appearance.

PATERSON, NJ.- An early Sunday morning Shooting in Paterson leaves Five Injured. On Sunday, June 26, 2022, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora announced that on June 26, 2022, at approximately 4:30 a.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Madison Street and Essex Street in Paterson, New Jersey on a report of Shots Fired. 


     Upon arrival, Police Officers located a potential crime scene and a 25-Year-Old Haledon, New Jersey man who sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The victim was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment. 


     During the initial investigation, Members of the Paterson Police Department were notified that a 17-Year-Old Juvenile, a 19-Year-Old Paterson man, a 30-Year-Old Paterson man, and a 19-Year-Old Paterson man had arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey, seeking treatment for non-life threatening Gunshot Wounds. Based on the preliminary investigation, all five victims were in the area of Madison Street and Essex Street in Paterson, New Jersey, when they were struck by Gunfire.
