41 YEAR OLD LODI NEW JERSEY TRUCK DRIVER CHARGED IN CONNECTION TO ARSON INVESTIGATION

LODI, NJ.- On Thursday, July 28, 2022, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of Andy Pena, 41, of Lodi, New Jersey on Charges of Arson, Aggravated Arson, Possession of a Weapon and Attempt to Cause Widespread Injury or Damage.
The Arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love, and in conjunction with The Lodi Police Department under the direction of Chief Donald Scorzetti.
On Tuesday, July 19, 2022, The Lodi Police Department received information from a local business regarding Suspicious Fire Damage on their exterior roof. First Responders arrived on scene and observed approximately three large, burned areas on the roof along with several broken glass bottles.
The ensuing investigation determined that, in the early morning hours of July 8, 2022, Mr. Pena intentionally set the fire by using glass bottles as hand-thrown incendiary weapons, causing fire damage to the roof of a commercial business.
On Thursday, July 28, 2022, Mr. Pena was Arrested and Charged with Second Degree Aggravated Arson; Second Degree Attempt to Cause Widespread Injury or Damage; Third Degree Arson; and Third Degree Possession of a Weapon.
Mr. Pena was processed on the offenses and remanded to The Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.
