NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ.- Yesterday, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone announced that a 28-Year-Old Portsmouth, Virginia man was Arrested Yesterday in connection with the Shooting Death of Sayreville Councilwoman Eunice Dwumfour back in February 2023, while she was in her car.



     Rashid Ali Bynum, 28, who was acquainted with Ms. Dwumfour from attending a Church in Newark, New Jersey, was taken into custody Tuesday Morning, May 30, 2023, outside of a Chesapeake City Residence without incident, and Charged with One Count of First Degree Murder; Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; and Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.



     Mr. Bynum is being held in Virginia and is awaiting extradition back to New Jersey where he will be lodged in The Middlesex County Adult Correctional Facility pending a Detention Hearing in Middlesex County State Superior Court.

BREAKING: Galloway, New Jersey Woman Arrested

FOLLOWING AN INVESTIGATION GALLOWAY WOMAN FACES 110 COUNTS OF ANIMAL CRUELTY

     " Diane Haytas Was Charged With Animal Cruelty & Abuse For Depriving Pets Of Water & Food."

MAYS LANDING, NJ.- Following a month-long investigation by Atlantic County, New Jersey Authorities into Animal Cruelty allegations a 56-Year-Old Galloway Township, New Jersey woman was taken into Custody and Charged with willfully failing to provide water and food to over 50 pets inside of her home. The Animals were also subjected to live in inhuman and unsanitary conditions inside the residence.


     According to Atlantic County Prosecutor William Reynolds On Wednesday, May 24, 2023, Detectives from The Galloway Township Police Department in conjunction with The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office executed a Court Authorized Search Warrant at a residence located at 833 East Moss Mill Road in Galloway Township.


     During the search, Detectives found 15 Dogs, 12 Rabbits, 15 Birds, 5 Guinea Pigs, 2 Ferrets, and 5 Cats living in deplorable conditions. The Animals were removed from the residence, and transported to an area Veterinarian for evaluation. Some of the Animals were kept in cages in a detached garage. Detectives during the search found Numerous Deceased Birds lying on the floor of the residence.


     Following the search the homeowner of the residence Diane Haytas, 56, of Galloway Township was taken into Custody and Charged with 110 Counts of Animal Cruelty Offenses. Ms. Haytas was Processed on the Charges and released on a Summons Complaint pending future court proceedings.


     The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office would like to remind the Public that any Pets that can no longer be cared for, or are unwanted, can be surrendered to The Atlantic County Animal Shelter in Pleasantville, New Jersey, or The Humane Society in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

FREEHOLD, NJ.- Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago reported that on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, a 26-Year-Old Asbury Park, New Jersey woman Admitted Guilt in The Fatal Drug Overdose Death of her 2-Year-Old Son in early January 2023.


     Quanique Smith, 26, of Asbury Park, Pleaded Guilty to One Count of Second Degree Aggravated Manslaughter, in Monmouth County State Superior Court.



     Back on January 5, 2023, at approximately 1:00 a.m., Members of The Asbury Park Police Department responded to an apartment unit located on The 100 Block of Langford Street on a report of an Unresponsive Child. Upon arrival, Police Officers found a 2-Year-Old Child unresponsive. The Child was immediately transported to a local hospital, where despite lifesaving efforts the Child was pronounced deceased at just before 2:00 a.m.


     A swift-moving investigation by Members of The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office in conjunction with The Asbury Park Police Department quickly determined that quantities of Heroin and Fentanyl belonging to Ms. Smith had been left in the Family's Home and within reach of the 2-Year-Old and his 5-Year-Old Sibling, with the 2-Year-Old ingesting the Drugs that directly caused his Death.

NEWARK, NJ.- Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II reported that Members of The Essex County Homicide Task Force are continuing to investigate the Sunday Night Fatal Shooting of a 44-Year-Old Newark man and the Shooting of another man who remains hospitalized at this time.


     On Sunday, May 28, 2023, at approximately 6:30 p.m., Members of The Newark Police Department responded to Plymouth Street and South Munn Avenue in Newark on a report that a Shooting had occurred. Upon arrival, Police Officers found Two Men suffering from apparent Gunshot Wounds. One of the men, Siddiq Amin Hooper, 44, of Newark had succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The other man was transported to an area hospital where he remains in Stable Condition.

NEWARK, NJ.- A 49-Year-Old Newark, New Jersey man tragically lost his life early Sunday morning, after being struck by a Motor Vehicle while crossing Springfield Avenue in Newark.


     Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II reported that on Sunday, May 28, 2023, at approximately 1:55 a.m., Members of The Newark Police Department responded to The 600 Block of Springfield Avenue in Newark on a report that a man had been struck by a Motor Vehicle.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Laquan Lamar Jones, 49, of Newark, Unresponsive after Being Struck by a Motor Vehicle. Mr. Jones was pronounced deceased at the scene a short time later.

BREAKING: ELIZABETH MEN SENTENCED TO PRISON

THREE ELIZABETH MEN HAVE BEEN SENTENCED TO STATE PRISON FOR A 2021 FATAL SHOOTING OF A MAN

     " Isaiah Turner, Nasir Semmons, & Kadir Epps Were Sentenced Last Week To State Prison For Their Roles In The Shooting Death Of Eliezer Martinez."

ELIZABETH, NJ.- Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel reported that Three Elizabeth, New Jersey men were Sentenced last Friday, May 19, 2023, for their roles in The June 22, 2021, Fatal Shooting of Eliezer Martinez, 30, of Elizabeth, New Jersey, and injuring another man.


     Last Friday, Union County Superior Court Judge John Deitch, J.S.C. Sentenced Isaiah Turner, 17, to Fifteen Years in New Jersey State Prison on the Charge of Aggravated Manslaughter. The sentence is Subject to The No Early Release Act. Nasir Semmons, 20, was Sentenced to Eight Years in New Jersey State Prison on the Charge of Conspiracy to Commit Aggravated Manslaughter. Mr. Semmons' sentence is also subject to The No Early Release Act. Kadir Epps, 19, was Sentenced to Five Years in New Jersey State Prison on the Charge of Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. Mr. Epps will be required to serve 42 Months of his sentence before becoming eligible for Parole.


     Back on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, just before 1:30 a.m., Members of The Elizabeth Police Department responded to The 400 Block of Elizabeth Avenue in Elizabeth on a report of Shots Fired. Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Eliezer Martinez, 30, of Elizabeth having sustained a Life-Threatening Gunshot Wound. Mr. Martinez was immediately transported to Trinitas Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injury and was pronounced deceased a short time later.


     A second Shooting Victim was transported to University Hospital in Newark, New Jersey where he was treated and released.


     A swift-moving investigation by Members of The Union County Prosecutor's Office and Detectives of The Elizabeth Police Department were Quickly able to identify the Three Men as Suspects, and the Individuals responsible for The Death of Mr. Martinez, and the Shooting of the other man.

NEWARK MAN CHARGED IN CONNECTION WITH USING ANOTHER PERSON'S IDENTITY

JERSEY CITY, NJ.- Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez reported that On Monday, May 22, 2023, Members of The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office Special Investigations Unit Arrested a 47-Year-Old Newark, New Jersey man on Charges in connection to the use of another person's Identification Information to obtain a Driver's License from The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission's North Bergen, New Jersey Office.


     Williams Morocho-Avila, 47, of Newark, was arrested without incident at The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office in Secaucus, New Jersey, and formally Charged with One Count of Second Degree Using the Personal Identification of Another; and One Count of Third Degree Tampering with Public Records or Information. Mr. Morocho-Avila was Processed on the Charges and released on a Summons Complaint and has been scheduled for his First Appearance on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, in Central Judicial Processing Court.


     On December 13, 2022, Mr. Morocho-Avila a Non-Driver Identification Card and Basic Examination Permit at The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission's South Plainfield, New Jersey Office. An investigation by The Motor Vehicle Commission revealed that on November 13, 2021, a Driver's License was obtained by Mr. Morocho-Avila at The North Bergen Motor Vehicle Commission's Office under a different name.

PATERSON, NJ.- Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes reported that Detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstance surrounding a Shooting that occurred Monday Evening in Paterson that sent a Man and a Woman to the Hospital.


     On Monday, May 22, 2023, shortly after 6:00 p.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to the area of West Broadway and Matlock Street in The City on a report of Shots being Fired. Upon arrival, Police Officers located a Crime Scene and a 37-Year-Old Paterson Woman who had sustained a Non-Life Threatening Gunshot Wound. The Woman was immediately transported to Saint Joseph's University Medical Center for treatment.


     While on the scene, Police Officer learned that a 35-Year-Old East Orange, New Jersey Man had also arrived by private vehicle at Saint Joseph's University Medical Center seeking treatment for a Non-Life Threatening Gunshot Wound. The initial investigation by Police Officers quickly determined that the Man had been Struck by Gunfire at the same time the Woman was hit.


     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No Arrests have been made at this time. HACKENSACK, NJ.- Bergen County Authorities continue to investigate a Shooting that occurred late Tuesday Afternoon in Hackensack, New Jersey.


     On Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at approximately 5:30 p.m., Members of The Hackensack Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call in the area of Clay and Second Streets in Hackensack, on a report of Shots Fired. 


     Upon arrival, Police Officers located a 35-Year-Old man who had sustained a Graze Wound from Gunfire. Shortly thereafter Police Officers learned that a Second Victim, a 40-Year-Old man had been transported to the hospital by way of a private vehicle seeking treatment for a Gunshot Wound.


     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No Arrests have been made at this time. More information may become available once released by authorities.

BREAKING: Newark Triple Shooting Investigation

IRVINGTON WOMAN KILLED AND TWO OTHERS INJURED IN A TRIPLE SHOOTING IN NEWARK

NEWARK, NJ.- Today, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II reported that The Essex County Homicide Task Force and The Newark Police Department are actively investigating Last Night's Triple Shooting that claimed the Life of a 41-Year-Old Irvington, New Jersey Woman and left another Two Individuals Hospitalized.



     On Monday, May 22, 2023, at approximately 8:08 p.m., Members of The Newark Police Department responded to The 900 Block of 18th Avenue in Newark on a report of a Shooting. 


     Upon arrival, Police Officers located a Crime Scene and Three Victims suffering from Gunshot Wounds. One of the Victims a Woman, later identified as Laytoya Miller-Kone, 41, of Irvington, New Jersey, suffering from Multiple Gunshot Wounds. Ms. Miller-Kone was immediately transported to University Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at 8:30 p.m.


     The other Two Victims, an East Orange, New Jersey Man, and a Newark, New Jersey Woman were transported to University Hospital for treatment for Non-Life Threatening Gunshot Wounds, their condition is unknown at this time.

NEWARK, NJ.- Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II reported that Members of The Essex County Prosecutor's Office Homicide Task Force are continuing their investigation into the circumstance surrounding an early Monday morning Shooting that has claimed the Life of a Newark man, and has left another man Hospitalized.



     On Monday, May 21, 2023, at approximately 12:10 a.m., Members of The Newark Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a Shooting had occurred on The 100 Block of Riverview Court in Newark. Upon arrival, Police Officers found Two Men suffering from Multiple Gunshot Wounds.


     One of the men, Jamid Hardgrove, 22, of Newark, New Jersey was immediately transported to University Hospital, where he succumbed to Multiple Gunshot Wounds and was pronounced deceased at 1:02 a.m. The other man was also transported to University Hospital for treatment for Non-Life Threatening Gunshot Wounds. The man's condition is unknown at this time.

BREAKING: Paterson, New Jersey Shootings

TWO KILLED AND THREE HOSPITALIZED ON SUNDAY IN PATERSON, NEW JERSEY SHOOTINGS

     " On Sunday In Paterson, 2 People Were Fatally Shot & 3 Remain Hospitalized In A Rash Of Shootings In Paterson."

PATERSON, NJ.-Two Men were Fatally Shot, and Three remain hospitalized, in Three Separate Shootings in Paterson, New Jersey, according to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes.


     On Sunday, May 21, 2023, at approximately 2:25 a.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to the area of River and East 13th Street in Paterson, on a report of a Shooting. Upon arrival, Police Officers found a 22-Year-Old Paterson man suffering from Multiple Gunshot Wounds. The man was immediately transported to Saint Joseph's University Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. While at the hospital Police Officers learned that a 24-Year-Old Paterson man and a 33-Year-Old Paterson man had arrived at Saint Joseph's University Medical Center seeking treatment for Gunshot Wounds. The initial investigation determined that all Three Were Shot in the area of River and 13th Streets in Paterson.


     Then just Six Hours later at approximately 8:30 a.m., on Sunday, Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to the area of 18th Avenue and East 28th Street in Paterson on a report of a Suspicious Vehicle. Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered a 33-Year-Old Paterson man in the Driver's Seat of the vehicle with a Gunshot Wound to his Head. The man was pronounced deceased at the scene.


     Then again, on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at approximately 10:06 p.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to Saint Joseph's University Medical Center after being notified that a 19-Year-Old Paterson man had arrived there seeking treatment for a Non-Life Threatening Gunshot Wound. A Preliminary investigation determined that the man had been Shot in the area of 24th Street and Park Avenue in Paterson.


     At this time no Arrests have been made in connection with the Shootings. More information may become available once released by Authorities.

BERGENFIELD, NJ.- Last Night, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella reported that The Bergen County Major Crimes Unit and The Bergenfield Police Department are investigating a Shooting that occurred that has left a Woman hospitalized after being shot Multiple Times inside a Bergenfield Residence.


     On Sunday, May 21, 2023, at approximately 6:50 p.m., Members of The Bergenfield Police Department responded to 87 Taylor Street in Bergenfield, New Jersey on a report of a Shooting.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a Woman suffering from Multiple Gunshot Wounds. The Woman was immediately transported to Hackensack University Medical Center for treatment. The woman's condition is unknown at this time.


      The investigation remains active and ongoing and is actively being investigated by The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office and The Bergenfield Police Department. More information may become available once released by Authorities.

NEWARK, NJ.- Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II reported that Members of The Essex County Homicide Task Force and Detectives of The Newark Police Department are actively investigating The Shooting Death of a 37-Year-Old Newark, New Jersey man that occurred early Friday Morning.


     On Friday, May 19, 2023, at approximately 2:35 a.m., Members of The Newark Police Department responded to The 100 Block of Lindsley Avenue in Newark on a report of a Shooting. Upon arrival, Police Officers were notified of a Motor Vehicle Accident on The 200 Block of Sunset Avenue in Newark. Responding Police Officers locate an Accident and found a man, later identified as Wesley Murphy, 37, of Newark in a car, suffering from Multiple Gunshot Wounds.


     Mr. Murphy was immediately transported to University Hospital in Newark, where he succumbed to his injuries and was subsequently pronounced deceased at 3:14 a.m.

JERSEY CITY, NJ.- On Friday, May 19, 2023, Members of The Hudson County Homicide Unit Charged a 35-Year-Old Jersey City, New Jersey man, with a Violent Past in connection with The Death of his Ex-Girlfriend, Norelis Mendoza, 32, of Lindenwold, New Jersey, who was found Dead on Wednesday, in a Wooded Area on the side of Route 440 in Bayonne, New Jersey, according to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez.



     Gregory Mallard, 35, of Jersey City was Charged with One Count of First Degree Murder; Third Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; Fourth Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; Third Degree Failing to Dispose of Human Remains in Accordance to Law; and Fourth Degree Tampering with Physical Evidence. Mr. Mallard is currently incarcerated at The Somerset County Jail in Somerville, New Jersey. The Homicide is currently being investigated as an Act of Domestic Violence.



     On Sunday, May 14, 2023, The Jersey City Police Department received a Missing Person report for Ms. Mendoza, who was last seen on Saturday, May 13, 2023, in Jersey City, New Jersey. Due to the nature of the Report, an investigation was initiated by Members of The Hudson County Homicide Unit with assistance from The Jersey City Police Department, The Bayonne Police Department, and The New Jersey State Police. The investigation determined that sometime between Saturday and Sunday, Mr. Mallard allegedly used his Motor Vehicle to run over Ms. Mendoza, Killing her.



     On Wednesday, May 17, 2023, Ms. Mendoza's Body was discovered by Police in a Wooded Area alongside Route 440 in Bayonne, New Jersey. Ms. Mendoza was pronounced deceased at the scene. The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information may become available once released by Authorities.

ELIZABETH, NJ.- Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel reported that a Homicide investigation is underway in connection with a Torso that was found floating in the waters on the Elizabeth, New Jersey Waterfront.



     On Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at approximately 5:00 p.m., Members of The Elizabeth Police Department responded to South Front Street on The Elizabeth Waterfront and discovered a White Male Torso, floating in The Elizabeth River where it enters The Arthur Kill Waterway. The Body was recovered and transported to The Union County Medical Examiner's Office, which subsequently determined the Man's Manner of Death to be Homicide.


     The investigation remains active and ongoing and is being led by The Union County Prosecutor's Office Homicide Task Force and Detectives of The Elizabeth Police Department.

PASSAIC, NJ.- Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes reported that Detectives are continuing to investigate a Wednesday Night Gunfire incident that occurred in Passaic, New Jersey. 


     On Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at approximately 7:22 p.m., Members of The Passaic Police Department responded to the area of Main and Highland Avenues on a report of Shots being Fired. Upon arrival, Police Officers were able to find a Crime Scene but were unable to locate any Victim.


     The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information may become available once released by Authorities.

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, NJ.- Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri reported that following a swift-moving investigation by The Mercer County Homicide Task Force in conjunction with The Hamilton Township Police Department, an 18-Year-Old Burlington County, New Jersey man was Arrested on Wednesday and Charged in the Shooting Death of Matthew Morales.



     Joshua Davis, 18, of Fieldsboro, New Jersey is Charged with One Count of First Degree Murder; Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; and Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose. Mr. Davis was taken into Custody on Wednesday, May 17, 2023. After being Processed on the Charges Mr. Davis was Remanded to The Mercer County Correctional Facility. The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office has Filed a Pretrial Detention Motion pending Trial.


     On Wednesday, May 17, 2023, just after 1:00 a.m., Members of The Hamilton Township Police Department responded to The 4900 Block of South Broad Street in The Township on a report of a Shooting. Pon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Matthew Morales, 25, of Blackwood, New Jersey, lying in a Driveway of a Home near Pilgrim Way, suffering from a Gunshot Wound. Mr. Morales was immediately transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injury and was pronounced deceased.


     The investigation uncovered that Mr. Morales and Mr. Davis got into an altercation on South Broad Street, at which time Mr. Davis pulled out a Firearm and Shot Mr. Morales.

Hudson County Homicide Investigation

A WOMAN THAT WAS REPORTED MISSING ON MOTHER'S DAY, WAS FOUND DEAD YESTERDAY

     " Hudson County Authorities Investigating A Lindenwold Woman Who Was Found Dead On The Border Of  Jersey City & Bayonne."

JERSEY CITY, NJ.- Hudson County Prosecutor Esther reported that The Hudson County Homicide Unit is actively investigating the Death of a 32-Year-Old Lindenwold, New Jersey woman that was Reported Missing on Mother's Day, May 14, 2023, was found deceased yesterday on The Border of Jersey City and Bayonne, New Jersey.


     On Sunday, May 14, 2023, The Jersey City Police Department received a Missing Persons report for a 32-Year-Old Lindenwold, New Jersey woman who was last seen in Jersey City on Saturday, May 13, 2023. An Investigation was initiated and during the course of the investigation by Members of The Hudson County Homicide Unit, with assistance from The Jersey City Police Department, The Bayonne Police Department, and The New Jersey State Police, Detectives were able to locate the lifeless Body of a woman off of Route 440, on the border of Jersey City, Yesterday, May 17, 2023, the woman was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.


     Authorities were able to tentatively identify the woman as Norelis Mendoza, 32, of Lindenwold, New Jersey. The Death has been considered suspicious at this time. The Cause and Manner of Death are pending Findings of The Hudson County Regional Medical Examiner's Office.


     The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office Homicide Unit and The Jersey City Police Department are actively investigating The Death of Ms. Mendoza. Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office at (201) 915-1345.

BREAKING: Arrest Made In Tuesday's Paterson Shooting

59-YEAR-OLD PATERSON MAN ARRESTED IN CONNECTION WITH TUESDAY'S PATERSON SHOOTING

     " Robert Carroll Charged With Attempted Murder & Weapons Offenses."

PATERSON, NJ.- Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes reported that following an investigation into a Shooting that occurred on Tuesday Morning, a 59-Year-Old Paterson, New Jersey man was Taken into Custody and Charged by Members of The Paterson Police Department.



     On Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at approximately 9:00 a.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Madison and 10th Avenues in Paterson on a report of a Verbal Altercation between a School Security Guard and an individual, later identified as Robert Carroll, 59, of Paterson, New Jersey.


     Based upon the initial investigation, Police Officers determined that the Verbal Altercation escalated to Gunfire being exchanged between Mr. Carroll and the School Security Guard. No one was injured during the exchange. Mr. Carroll then fled the scene and was later located and Taken into Custody by Police Officers at 12:37 p.m. at the intersection of 12th Avenue and Rosa Parks Boulevard in Paterson, New Jersey.


     Accordingly, Mr. Carroll was Charged with One Count of First Degree Attempted Murder: Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; and Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose. 


     The circumstances surrounding the Shooting still remain under active investigation. Mr. Carroll has been scheduled to Appear in Passaic County Central Judicial Processing Court Today, at 1:30 p.m., at which time The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office will make a Motion before the Court to have Mr. Carroll detained pending Trial.

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, NJ.- Today, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri reported that The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and Detectives of The Hamilton Township Police Department are actively investigating the Shooting Death of a 28-Year-Old Blackwood, New Jersey man that occurred early this morning.


     On Monday, May 17, 2023, at approximately 1:00 a.m., Members of The Hamilton Township Police Department responded to The 4900 Block of South Broad Street on a report of a Shooting in Progress. Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Matthew Morales, 28, of Blackwood, suffering from a Life-Threatening Gunshot Wound. 


     Mr. Morales was immediately transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injury and was subsequently pronounced deceased a short time later.


     No Arrests have been made and the investigation remains active and ongoing. HACKENSACK, NJ.- Yesterday, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella reported that following a Narcotics Investigation a 30-Year-Old Union City man was taken into Custody and Charged with Possessing Three Kilograms of Cocaine.


     On Friday, May 12, 2023, while conducting a Narcotics Investigation, Detectives of The Bergen County Narcotics Task Force conducted a Traffic Stop on a Motor Vehicle as it was Driving through Bergen County, New Jersey. During the investigation, Detectives determined that the driver, Mervin J. Menier was Transporting Three Kilograms of Cocaine in a Hidden Compartment in the Vehicle.


     As a result, Mr. Menier was Arrested at the scene and Charged with One Count of First Degree Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance. Mr. Menier was Processed on the Charge and Remanded to The Bergen County Jail pending Future Court Proceedings.
