BREAKING: Hamilton Township Homicide Investigation

MERCER COUNTY AUTHORITIES ARE INVESTIGATING TODAY'S FATAL SHOOTING OF A 28-YEAR-OLD MAN

     " Matthew Morales Was Fatally Shot Early This Morning In Hamilton Township, New Jersey."

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, NJ.- Today, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri reported that The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and Detectives of The Hamilton Township Police Department are actively investigating the Shooting Death of a 28-Year-Old Blackwood, New Jersey man that occurred early this morning.

     On Monday, May 17, 2023, at approximately 1:00 a.m., Members of The Hamilton Township Police Department responded to The 4900 Block of South Broad Street on a report of a Shooting in Progress. Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Matthew Morales, 28, of Blackwood, suffering from a Life-Threatening Gunshot Wound. 

     Mr. Morales was immediately transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injury and was subsequently pronounced deceased a short time later.

     No Arrests have been made and the investigation remains active and ongoing.
