TRENTON, NJ.- A Princeton Junction man struck a pedestrian in Trenton, who later died, after striking the pedestrian, the man fled the scene to Hamilton Township where he was later arrested.
Elber Eustaquio Yuman Davila, of Princeton Junction, New Jersey was arrested on Saturday shortly after the accident, Trenton Police reported. He has been charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident, after allegedly striking a pedestrian on South Clinton and Roebling Avenues Saturday Night, according to Trenton Police Spokesperson Sgt. Cynthia Hargis.
Officers were summoned and responded to the area for a report of a pedestrian struck. Upon their arrival, Police found a man lying on the ground with severe injuries, Hargis stated.
The victim, whose identity is not yet known, was transported to the hospital, where he later died.
Authorities broadcast a county-wide alert for the suspect's vehicle, and Hamilton Township Police stopped and detained him, until Trenton Police arrived, according to Hargis.
