RARITAN MAN PLEADS GUILTY IN SEPTEMBER 2021 KNIFEPOINT RAPE

     " Rogelio Calyeca-Postrero Of Raritan, New Jersey Has Pleaded Guilty To First Degree Aggravated Assault For The 2021 Rape Of A Woman Jogger."

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ.- Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone reported that on Thursday, June 8, 2023, a 38-Year-Old Raritan, New Jersey man Pled Guilty in connection with the Knifepoint Sexual Assault of a Woman as she Jogged along a Path of The Delaware and Raritan Canal State Park, in South Brunswick, New Jersey back on September 28, 2021.



     On Thursday, June 8, 2023, during a brief Court Hearing before The Honorable Benjamin S. Bucca, J.S.C. in Middlesex County State Superior Court, Rogelio Calyeca-Postrero, 38, of Raritan, New Jersey Pleaded Guilty to One Count of First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault.


     On September 28, 2021, sometime between 4:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., a Woman who walking on a Path in The Delaware And Raritan State Park in South Brunswick, New Jersey, was approached by Mr. Calyeca-Postrero Armed with a Knife. Mr. Calyeca-Postrero Dragged the Woman into a Wooded Area Sexually Assaulted her and then demanded money from her.


     A collaborative and extensive investigation by Local and State Law Enforcement Agencies was able to identify Mr. Calyeca-Postrero as a Suspect and the Individual responsible for The Sexual Assault and Robbery of the woman.


     Mr. Calyeca-Postrero had been originally Charged with First Degree Kidnapping; Two Counts of First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; Secon Degree Sexual Assault; First Degree Robbery; Third Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and Fourth Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.


     In return for The Guilty Plea, The Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office has recommended a New Jersey State Prison Term Pursuant to The No Early Release Act, which will require Mr. Calyeca-Postrero to Serve Eighty-Five Percent of his Custodial Term before becoming Eligible for Parole. Cayleca-Postrero will also be Subject to Parole Supervision for Life and must Register under Megan's Law Requirements. Calyeca-Postrero has been Scheduled to be Sentenced on October 30, 2023.

JAMESBURG, NJ.- Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone reported that The Jamesburg Police Department and The Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office are looking for answers into the Death of a Man whose Body was found Floating in Thompson Park Lake on Sunday Morning.



     On Sunday, June 11, 2023, at approximately 10:26 a.m., Members of The Jamesburg Police Department responded to Thompson Park on a report of a Body being Discovered Floating in The Lake. 


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found the Body of a Man, later identified as Trinidad Perez, 36, of Jamesburg, New Jersey deceased in the Lake. The initial investigation by Detectives of The Jamesburg Police Department in conjunction with Detectives of The Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office found no signs of foul play.


     The Cause and Manner of Death are pending the determination of The Middlesex County Medical Examiner's Office.

MILLVILLE, NJ.- Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Wbb-McRae reported that Detectives are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the Fatal Shooting of a 20-Year-Old Millville, New Jersey man who was found dead early yesterday morning.


     On Monday, June 12, 2023, at approximately 5:00 a.m., Members of The Millville Police Department responded to Rieck Avenue Elementary School located on The 300 Block of Rieck Avenue in Millville on a report of an Unresponsive Man inside a Car.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Mark Hoffman, 20, of Millville, New Jersey deceased inside his car from an apparent Gunshot Wound. 


     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No Arrests have been made at this time. Authorities are requesting if anyone has information regarding the Shooting Death of Mr. Hoffman contact The Millville Police Department at (856) 825-7010 or The Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office at (856) 982-6256.

TRENTON, NJ.- Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri reported that The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and Detectives of The Trenton Police Department are actively investigating a Triple Shooting that Killed a 23-Year-Old Man and left Two Others Hospitalized, that occurred last night in The City of Trenton.



     On Sunday, June 11, 2023, at approximately 8:05 p.m., Members of The Trenton Police Department responded to The Donnelly Homes Housing Complex on Willow Avenue on reports of Shots Fired.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Shaquan Brown, 23, of Trenton, suffering from a Gunshot Wound to the back of his Head. Mr. Brown was immediately transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injury and was pronounced deceased a short time later.


     Police Officers also discovered Two other Gunshot Victims, each with Wounds to their Legs. Both Victims were also immediately transported to The Medical Center for treatment.


     The investigation remains active and ongoing, and no Arrests have been made at this time. NEWARK, NJ.- Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II reported that The Essex County Prosecutor's Office Homicide Task Force and Detectives of The Newark Police Department are continuing to investigate what appears to be a Targeted Shooting that occurred late Saturday Night that Killed Two Men and left a Woman Hospitalized.


     According to Authorities, on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at approximately 11:30 p.m., Members of The Newark Police Department responded to The 100 Block of Shephard Avenue in Newark, New Jersey, on a report of a Shooting.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found Two Men, one identified as Isaiah Cobb, 33, of Hillside, New Jersey, deceased from Multiple Gunshot Wounds, Mr. Cobb was pronounced deceased at the scene at 11:45 p.m. The other man, identified as Terrance Carroll, 51, of Newark, New Jersey suffering from a single Gunshot Wound. Mr. Carroll was immediately transported to University Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased a short time later.


     A Female was also injured during the Shooting and she was transported to University Hospital where she remains Hospitalized.


     The investigation remains active and ongoing and no Arrests have been made at this time. According to Authorities, there is no Danger to the Public. PATERSON, NJ.- Passaic County Authorities are Continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding a Friday Night Shooting that has left a 29-Year-Old Paterson, New Jersey man Hospitalized from a Gunshot Wound.


     According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer in Charge Isa Abbassi that on Friday, June 9, 2023, at approximately 10:01 p.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to the area of North 9th Street and Belmont Avenue in Paterson on a report of Shots being Fired.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers located a potential crime scene but were unable to locate a victim. A short time later Police Officers responded to Saint Joesph's University Medical Center after they were notified that a 29-Year-Old Paterson, New Jersey man arrived at the Medical Center seeking treatment for a Non-Life Threatening Gunshot Wound.


     Based on the initial investigation, Police Officers determined that the man was struck by Gunfire in the area of North 9th Street and Belmont Avenue.


     No Arrests have been made at this time. The investigation remains active and ongoing. NEWARK, NJ.- Essex County Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the Fatal Stabbing that occurred early yesterday morning on a City Street in Newark, New Jersey.


     According to Essex County Acting Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at approximately 3:12 a.m., Members of The Newark Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a Stabbing in the 300 Block of Bloomfield Avenue in The City's North Ward.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Fernando Michael Villa-Valdivieso, 26, of Newark, New Jersey, on the Sidewalk suffering from an apparent Stab Wound. Mr. Villa-Valdivieso was immediately transported to University Hospital where he succumbed to his injury and was pronounced deceased a short time later.


     No Arrests have been made and Police continue to search for a Suspect. The investigation remains active and ongoing. JERSEY CITY, NJ.- On Saturday, June 10, 2023, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez reported that on Friday, June 9, 2023, following an investigation, Members of The Hudson County Homicide Unit Arrested a 14-Year-Old Jersey City Boy for Killing Tyshawn Smith in Jersey City, early Monday Morning.


     The Teen was taken into Custody at The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office in Secaucus, New Jersey, and Formally Charged with One Count of First Degree Aggravated Manslaughter; Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; and Second Degree Possession Of A Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose. Because of the Boy's Age, no other information will be available.


     On Monday, June 5, 2023, at approximately 4:20 a.m., Members of The Jersey City Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a Shooting located at 124 Wilkinson Avenue in Jersey City, New Jersey.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a Teen, later identified as Tyshawn Smith, 15, of Jersey City, Unresponsive from an apparent Gunshot Wound. Tyshawn Smith was immediately transported to Jersey City Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injury and was subsequently pronounced deceased a short time later. The Regional Medical Examiner determined the Cause of Death to be a Gunshot Wound to the Abdomen, and the Manner of Death to be Homicide.

TRENTON, NJ.- Today, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri reported that The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and The Trenton Police Department are actively investigating a Fatal Shooting that occurred early Friday morning in The City of Trenton.


     On Friday, June 9, 2023, at approximately 12:03 a.m., Members of The Trenton Police Department responded to a Multi-Shot ShotSpotter Activation in the area of Aspen Alley and Evans Avenue in The City of Trenton. Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Markell Biggs, 20, of Trenton, New Jersey suffering from Multiple Gunshot Wounds to his Chest.


     Mr. Biggs was immediately transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries and was subsequently pronounced deceased a short time later.

JERSEY CITY, NJ.- Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez reported that following a Months-Long investigation into Child Sexual Abuse Material, on Thursday, June 8, 2023, Members of The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office Arrested and Charge a 35-Year-Old Hudson County Sheriff's Officer for Storing Child Pornography Images on an Online File Storage Server.



     William Medina, 35, of Union City, New Jersey was Arrested yesterday at The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office in Jersey City and Formally Charged with One Count of Third Degree Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material. Mr. Medina was Processed on the Charged and released on a Summons pending his First Appearance scheduled for June 29, 2023.


     " These allegations are serious and certainly do not reflect the values of The Huson County Sheriff's Office," according to Hudson County Sheriff Frank X. Schillari. "Upon learning of the investigation, the officer was placed on administrative leave and is currently suspended without pay. My Office and its Internal Affairs Unit, has and will continue to,  fully cooperate with The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office throughout the prosecution.

VICTORY GARDENS NEW JERSEY MAN SENTENCED TO STATE PRISON FOR NARCOTICS AND GUN CHARGES

MORRISTOWN, NJ.- Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll reported that on Monday, June 5, 2023, a 21-Year-Old Victory Gardens, New Jersey man was Sentenced to Five Years in New Jersey State Prison for a Gun related Narcotics Offense.



     Kenneth Calvey, 21, of Victory Gardens, New Jersey was Sentenced on Monday by The Honorable Stephen J. Taylor, J.S.C. to a Term of Five-Years in Prison with a 42-Month Parole Disqualifier. On April 18, 2023, Mr. Calvey Pleaded Guilty to One Count of Second Degree Possession of a Firearm While Committing a Controlled Dangerous Substance Offense. 


     The Guilty Plea and Sentence are the result of an investigation by Members of The Morris County Narcotics Task Force. As a result, a Court Authorized Search Warrant was Executed on Mr. Calvey's Residence. During the search, Detectives seized $6,908.00 in Cash, nearly One Pound of Marijuana, Multiple THC Vapes, Drug Paraphernalia, a Double Barrel Shot Gun, and a Loaded Handgun.

Stephens, II reported that Detectives of The Essex County Homicide Task Force in conjunction with The Newark Police Department are actively investigating the Fatal Stabbing of a 66-Year-Old Newark Woman that occurred yesterday afternoon in Newark.


     On Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at approximately 1:41 p.m., Members of The Newark Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting an Unresponsive Woman on The 200 Block of Sunset Avenue in Newark, New Jersey.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a Woman, later identified as Annie D, Gooden, 66, of Newark, suffering from Multiple Stab Wounds, Ms. Gooden succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene a short time later.

PASSAIC, NJ.- Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes reported that Detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding a Tuesday Night Shooting that left a 29-Year-Old man Hospitalized.


     On Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at approximately 7:04 p.m., Members of The Passaic Police Department responded to the area of Main Avenue and Sherman Street in The City of Passaic on a report of Shots Fired. Upon arrival, Police Officers were able to locate a potential crime scene but were unable to locate a victim. 


     A short time later, Police Officers were notified that a 29-Year-Old man had arrived at Saint Joseph's University Medical Center in Paterson, seeking treatment for a Non-Life Threatening Gunshot Wound.


     Based on the initial investigation, Police Officers determined that the man had in fact been Shot in the area of Main Avenue and Sherman Street in Passaic, New Jersey.


     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No Arrests have been made at this time. More information may become available once released by Authorities.

UNION CITY PUBLIC WORKS EMPLOYEE DIES AFTER BEING STRUCK BY A VEHICLE

UNION CITY, NJ.- Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez reported that Detectives are investigating a Wednesday Morning Motor Vehicle Collision that has claimed the Life of a 73-Year-Old Union City Public Works Employee.


     On Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at approximately 7:36 a.m., Members of The Union City Police Department responded to the area of Palisade Avenue and 36th Street in Union City on a report that a Pedestrian had been Struck by a Motor Vehicle.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers located a man, later identified as Fortunato Rojas-Solis, 73, of Union City, New Jersey, suffering from Life-Threatening Injuries after being Struck. Mr. Rojas-Solis was immediately transported to Jersey City Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 5:15 p.m.


     Based on the preliminary investigation, Authorities determined that Mr. Rojas-Solis while working in his capacity as a Union City Public Works Employee was Struck by a Dodge Durango, being operated by a 16-Year-Old unlicensed male.

PATERSON, NJ.- Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes reported that on Friday, June 2, 2023, Andres Vasquez, 25, of Belleville, New Jersey entered Guilty Pleas to Multiple Charges in connection to the Sexual Assault of a Minor during a Home Invasion in Clifton, New Jersey.


     Mr. Vasquez was Arrested on June 3, 2022, following an investigation by Detectives of The Clifton Police Department in conjunction with Members of The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office.



     Back on May 31, 2022, Members of The Clifton Police Department responded to a Clifton Residence on a report of a Home Invasion and Sexual Assault of a Child. An investigation was initiated and Detectives of The Clifton Police Department interviewed the Child and Witnesses and collected evidence. At the conclusion of the investigation, Detectives determined that Mr. Vasquez climbed through the window of the Child's Bedroom, then Strangled and Sexually Assaulted the Child.


     Last Friday, Mr. Vasquez Plead Guilty to One Count of First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; and One Count of Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. In return for The Guilty Plea, The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office has requested that Mr. Vasquez be Sentenced to a Term of Fifteen Years in New Jersey State Prison. Mr. Vasquez will also be on Parole Supervision for Life and will be Subject to Megan's Law Registration Requirements.


     Upon entering the Guilty Plea, Mr. Vasquez admitted under oath that on May 31, 2023, in The City of Clifton that he Climbed through the Child's Bedroom in the middle of the night. Mr. Vasquez further admitted that he did not know the child and did not have permission to enter the home. He then admitted that he strangled the Child and Engaged in Sexual Intercourse without her Permission.


     Sentencing in the matter has been Scheduled for October 2, 2023, in Passaic County State Superior Court. Mr. Vasquez will remain Detained in The Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, New Jersey.

JERSEY CITY, NJ.- Police are continuing to search for answers into why a 15-Year-Old Boy was Fatally Shot early Monday Morning on Wilkinson Avenue in Jersey City, New Jersey.


     Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez reported that on Monday, June 5, 2023, at approximately 4:20 a.m., Members of The Jersey City Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call of a Shooting at 124 Wilkinson Avenue in Jersey City. Upon arrival, Police Officers located a Teen Boy, later identified as Tyshawn Smith, 15, of Jersey City, unresponsive from an Apparent Gunshot Wound, the Teen was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene at 4:55 a.m.


     The circumstance regarding this incident is actively being investigated by The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office Homicide Unit and The Jersey City Police Department. NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ.- Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone reported that Detectives are investigating the Shooting Death of a 28-Year-Old New Brunswick, New Jersey man.


     On Sunday, June 4, 2023, at approximately 10:54 p.m., Members of The New Brunswick Police Department responded to the area of Throop Avenue in Delavan Street in New Brunswick on a report of a Shooting. Upon arrival, Police Officers located a man, later identified as Markel Williams, 28, of New Brunswick, suffering from Multiple Gunshot Wounds.


     Mr. Williams was immediately transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was subsequently pronounced deceased.


     The Shooting appears to be a Targeted Attack and there is no threat to the Public. The investigation remains active and ongoing. MAURICE RIVER, NJ.- On Friday, June 2, 2023, Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae reported that a 79-Year-Old Camp Hill, Pennsylvania man was Arrested and Charged in connection with the May 28, 2023, Attempted Abduction of a 7-Year-Old Child.


     On Sunday, May 28, 2023, Members of The New Jersey State Police began an investigation after they were notified that a Man had entered the Wawa Convenience Store located at 3904 Route 47 in Maurice Township, New Jersey. It was Alleged that the man, later identified as Thomas Cannon, 79, of Camp Hill Pennsylvania approached a 7-Year-Old Child and attempted to entice the Child to go with him into his vehicle by offering the child candy. At one point during the interaction, Mr. Cannon grabbed the Child's Arm and attempted to leave with the Child.



     Following the investigation, on Friday, May 2, 2023, Mr. Cannon was taken into Custody by Members of The New Jersey State Police and Formally Charged with One Count of Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

ELIZABETH, NJ.- Union County Prosecutor William A,. Daniel reported that The Union County Prosecutor's Office Homicide Task Force and The Elizabeth Police Department are actively investigating the Shooting Death of a man, that occurred Wednesday Afternoon in Elizabeth, New Jersey. 



     On Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at approximately 1:28 p.m., Members of The Elizabeth Police Department responded to The 700 Block of Dowd Avenue in Elizabeth on multiple reports of Gunfire. Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man unresponsive from Gunshot Wounds, the man was subsequently pronounced at the scene.


     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No Arrests have been made. BELVIDERE, NJ.- Following an investigation a 51-Year-Old East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania man has been Arrested and Charged for Allegedly Sexually Assaulting a Six-Year-Old Child in July 2020 and a Seven-Year-Old Child in September 2021. 


     According to Warren County James L. Pfeiffer, back in July 2020, the Six-Year-Old reported to Local Authorities that she had been Sexually Abused by Mr. Lissitz. An investigation was initiated by The Warren County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit. During the course of the investigation, Detectives were able to determine that Mr. Lissitz had access to the Girl and had on two separate occasions engaged her in Sexual Acts.


     Then in September of 2021, a Second Child, came forward reporting to Local Authorities that when she was 7-Years-Old Mr. Lissitz had Sexually Assaulted her. Detectives determined that on at least one occasion Lissitz engaged here in various Sexual Acts.


     Accordingly, Mr. Lissitz was Charged in connection with the 6-Year-Old Girl with Two Counts of Second Degree Sexual Assault; and Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Further, Mr. Lissitz was Charged in connection with the Seven-Year-Old Girl with One Count of First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; Three Counts of Second Degree Sexual Assault; and Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Mr. Lissitz was Processed on the Charges and Remanded to The Warren County Jail.

BREAKING: Charges Upgraded To Murder In 2022 Assault

JERSEY CITY, NJ.- Yesterday, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez reported that Members of The Hudson County Homicide Unit Arrested a 26-Year-Old Jersey City, New Jersey man after a 55-Year-Old Gas Station Attendant Died as a direct result of injuries he sustained during a Jersey City Assault in 2022.


     Nixon Marquez, 26, of Jersey City, New Jersey is Charged with One Count of First Degree Murder. Mr. Marquez was Arrested yesterday at The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office in Secaucus, New Jersey, Marquez was Processed on the Charges and Remanded to The Hudson County Correctional Facility, pending his First Appearance in Hudson County Central Judicial Processing Court.


     On Sunday, August 21, 2022, at approximately 2:48 a.m., Members of The Jersey City Police Department responded to the Shell Gas Station located on the corner of Marin Boulevard and 14th Street on multiple reports of an Assault that had occurred. Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Fardin Ghadamidaroukola, 55, of Jersey City who had sustained serious Head Injuries.


     Mr. Ghadamidaroukola was immediately transported to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment. On Monday, May 15, 2023, The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office was notified that Mr. Ghadamidaroukola Died at a Washington D.C. Hospital on Saturday, May 13, 2023. The Office of The Chief Medical Examiner the Cause of the Death to be Complications Due to Blunt Force Trauma, and The Manner of Death to be Homicide. 


     Mr. Marquez had been previously Charged with Aggravated Assault and Weapons Offenses shortly after the 2022 Assault. The Charges were Upgraded following the Report of The Office of Chief Medical Examiner.

SEASIDE PARK, NJ.- Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer reported that following an investigation into the Stabbing of a 22-Year-Old man, Christopher Mawson, 28, of Toms River, New Jersey was taken into Custody and Charged with One Count of Attempted Murder; One Count of Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; and One Count of Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.


     The Charges stem from an incident when on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at approximately 1:00 a.m., Members of The Seaside Park Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a man laying on North Ocean Avenue. Upon arrival, Police Officers found a 22-Year-Old man suffering from Multiple Stab Wounds.


     The man, due to the nature of his injuries, was immediately airlifted to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, New Jersey for treatment, where he remains hospitalized in critical but stable condition.


     A swift-moving investigation by Ocean County Authorities was quickly able to identify Mr. Mawson as a Suspect and the individual responsible for the Stabbing of the man. Mr. Mawson was Processed on The Charges and remanded to The Ocean County Jail pending future Court Proceedings.
