NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ.- Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone reported that Detectives are investigating the Shooting Death of a 28-Year-Old New Brunswick, New Jersey man.
On Sunday, June 4, 2023, at approximately 10:54 p.m., Members of The New Brunswick Police Department responded to the area of Throop Avenue in Delavan Street in New Brunswick on a report of a Shooting. Upon arrival, Police Officers located a man, later identified as Markel Williams, 28, of New Brunswick, suffering from Multiple Gunshot Wounds.
Mr. Williams was immediately transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was subsequently pronounced deceased.
The Shooting appears to be a Targeted Attack and there is no threat to the Public. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
