     " Essex County Authorities Continue To Search For A Suspect In The Stabbing Death Of Fernando Michael Villa-Valdivieso."

NEWARK, NJ.- Essex County Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the Fatal Stabbing that occurred early yesterday morning on a City Street in Newark, New Jersey.


     According to Essex County Acting Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at approximately 3:12 a.m., Members of The Newark Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a Stabbing in the 300 Block of Bloomfield Avenue in The City's North Ward.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Fernando Michael Villa-Valdivieso, 26, of Newark, New Jersey, on the Sidewalk suffering from an apparent Stab Wound. Mr. Villa-Valdivieso was immediately transported to University Hospital where he succumbed to his injury and was pronounced deceased a short time later.


     No Arrests have been made and Police continue to search for a Suspect. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
