BREAKING: UPDATE: CORRECTION: New Brunswick, New Jersey Stabbing Homicide Investigation

WOMAN KILLED AND MAN INJURED IN A TARGETED MID-MORNING STABBING TODAY 

     " Middlesex County Authorities Have Arrested A Man Who Stabbed & Killed A Woman & Then Stabbed Himself This Morning In A New Brunswick."

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ.- Today, a 64-Year-Old New Brunswick, New Jersey man has been Arrested and Charged in The Murder of a 20-Year-Old New Brunswick, New Jersey Woman that occurred Mid-Morning Today.


     According to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone, on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at approximately 9:12 a.m., Members of The New Brunswick Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting Two People Injured at 37 Juliet Street in New Brunswick. 


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found Lissi Rodriguez-Sanchez, 20, of New Brunswick, New Jersey deceased from Multiple Stab Wounds. Teodulo Habana, 64, of New Brunswick, New Jersey, suffering from Multiple Stab Wounds. Mr. Habana was immediately transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for treatment. 


     The initial investigation by Detective Victor Delgato of The New Brunswick Police Department and Detective Kevin Schroeck of The Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office determined that Mr. Habana was the Stepfather of Ms. Rodriguez-Sanchez. It was further determined that Mr. Habana's Wounds were Self-Inflicted and that he Stabbed to Death Ms. Rodriguez-Sanchez and then Stabbed himself numerous times.


     Accordingly, Mr. Habana has been Charged with First Degree Murder; Third Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and Fourth Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.

TEANECK, NJ.- Yesterday, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella reported that following an ongoing investigation into The October 21, 2023, Early Saturday Morning Single Vehicle Fatal Crash that occurred on Teaneck Road in Teaneck, New Jersey, the Driver of the Vehicle was Additionally Charged last Thursday.


     As first reported, on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at approximately 2:08 a.m., Members of The Teaneck Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a Serious Single Motor Vehicle Crash in the area of Teaneck Road near Bilton Street, 



     Upon arrival, Police Officers located a 2021 BMW M850i that was being operated by Teddy Mejia had Veered Off the Roadway and Struck a Tree before Overturning. Mr. Mejia was immediately transported to Hackensack University Medical Center for treatment of Serious Bodily Injuries. The Two Passengers, later identified as Rudy Rosales Escobar, 40, of Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey, and Alexander Cosme Curruchich, 29, of Englewood, New Jersey, sustained Fatal Injuries in The Crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.


     The initial investigation suspected that Mr. Mejia was Driving his Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol and was placed under Arrest at the Hospital. During the Arrest, a Controlled Dangerous Substance was found on him. As a result of the investigation, Mr.Mejia was Charged with Two Counts of Second Degree Vehicular Homicide for Driving While Intoxicated; and Third Degree Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance. Mejia was also Issued Numerous Motor Vehicle Summonses. The Charges were served to Mr.Mejia at Hackensack University Medical Center.


      On Thursday, October 26, 2023, further investigation uncovered that Mr.Mejia was Operating his Motor Vehicle at an Excessive Speed, While Under the Influence of Alcohol, immediately prior to the Crash. Accordingly, as a result of the continued investigation, Mr. Mejia was Additionally Charged with Two Counts of First Degree Aggravated Manslaughter. Mejia was served with the Additional Charges and remains in the Custody of The Bergen County Sheriff's Office.

MORRISTOWN, NJ.- Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll reported that on Friday, October 27, 2023, The Honorable Ralph E. Amirata, J.S.C. Sentenced Angel Caraballo-Maldona, 45, of Newark, New Jersey was Sentenced to New Jersey State Prison in connection with a Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash that occurred in Pequannock Township on May 8, 2023.


     On Friday, during a hearing in Morris County Superior Court, Judge Amirata Sentenced Mr. Caraballo-Maldona to a Term of Four Years in State Prison. The Sentence is Subject to The No Early Release Act, which will Require Caraballo-Maldona to Serve Eight-Five Percent of his Custodial Sentence before becoming Eligible for Parole. Caraballo-Maldona had previously Entered a Guilty Plea before Judge Amirata on August 29, 2023.


     The Guilty Plea and Sentence stem from a Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash. On May 8, 2023, at approximately 5:18 a.m., Members of The Pequannock Township Police Department responded to a Serious Motor Vehicle Crash at the intersection of Route 23 North and Alexander Avenue in Pequannock Township, New Jersey.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered that a 2020 Chevy Traverse had been Struck from behind by a Garbage Truck while the Traverse was Stopped at a Red Light. Upon impact with the Garbage Truck the Chevy Traverse Burst into Flames. The Unresponsive Driver of the Traverse was pulled from the vehicle by the Driver of the Garbage Truck and a Bystander. Despite Life-Saving Measures by Police Officers and Emergency Medical Personnel, the Driver of the Traverse succumbed to injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.


     During the ensuing investigation, Video Surveillance revealed that Caraballo-Maldona was using his Cell Phone at the time of the collision. Accordingly, Caraballo-Maldona was Charged with Second Degree Reckless Vehicular Homicide, shortly after the Crash.

BREAKING: Two Men Charged In Bergen County, New Jersey With Money Laundering

HACKENSACK, NJ.- Last Thursday, after being Stopped by Detectives from The Bergen County Narcotics Task Force, a 37-Year-Old Philadelphia, Pennsylvania man and a 44-Year-Old Camden, New Jersey man were Taken into Custody and Charged with Money Laundering Charges. The Arrests are the result of an investigation conducted by The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Narcotics Task Force.


     According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, on Thursday, October 26, 2023, during the course of a Narcotics Investigation into Illegal Narcotics Activity in Bergen County. Detectives of The Bergen County Narcotics Task Force conducted a Traffic Stop on a Motor Vehicle as it Traveled through Bergen County, New Jersey. As a result of The Traffic Stop, Detectives located inside the vehicle $23,605.00 in Money being transported by Luis N. Vazquez-Alvarez, 37, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Juan Carrion-Torres, 44, of Camden, New Jersey. The Money is believed to be Proceeds of Criminal Activity.


     Accordingly, on Thursday, Mr. Vazquez-Alvarez and Mr. Carrion-Torres were both Charged with One Count of Third Degree Money Laundering. Both men were Processed on The Charges and released on a Summons pending Future Court Proceedings in Bergen County State Superior Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.

BREAKING: Irvington, New Jersey Fatal Hit & Run Investigation

70-YEAR-OLD EAST ORANGE MAN WAS STRUCK AND KILLED SATURDAY NIGHT IN A HIT AND RUN

IRVINGTON, NJ.- Essex County Authorities are actively investigating the Death of a 70-Year-Old East Orange, New Jersey man who tragically lost his life after being Struck by a Driver who then Fled the Scene at an Irvington intersection late Saturday Night. 


     According to Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, on Saturday, October 28, 2023, shortly after 10:00 p.m., Members of The Irvington Police Department responded to The Intersection of Clinton and Linden Avenues in Irvington on a report of a man being Struck by a Motor Vehicle.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers located a man, later identified as Bernard Jones, 70, of East Orange, New Jersey who had been Struck by a Vehicle and then Fled the Scene. Mr. Jones was immediately transported to Beth Israel Medical Center and was pronounced deceased. 


      The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Police continue to search for the Vehicle and Driver who Fatally Struck Mr. Jones. MONTCLAIR, NJ.- A 83-Year-Old Montclair, New Jersey Woman was Tragically Killed Saturday Afternoon after being Struck by a Motor Vehicle at a Montclair Intersection.


     Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II reported that on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at approximately 12:15 p.m., Members of The Montclair Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a Motor Vehicle Pedestrian Collision at the Intersection of Bellevue Avenue and Park Street in Montclair.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers located a vehicle that had Struck a Woman. The Woman, later identified as Vivian Folkenflik, 83, of Montclair was immediately transported to Mountainside Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at 1:00 p.m. 


     The investigation remains active and ongoing and is being conducted by The Essex County Prosecutor's Office Crime Scene Investigations Bureau. BREAKING: Sayreville, New Jersey Fatal Crash Investigation

AN EARLY SATURDAY MORNING CAR CRASH IN SAYREVILLE HAS KILLED A 24-YEAR-OLD KEANSBURG MAN

SAYREVILLE, NJ.- Middlesex County Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding an Early Saturday Morning Motor Vehicle Crash that Claimed the Life of a 24-Year-Old Keansburg, New Jersey man.


     According to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone, on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 5:00 a.m., Members of The Sayreville Police Department responded to a report of a Serious Motor Vehicle Crash on Route 35 South in the vicinity of a Sayreville Bait and Tackle Shop.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered that a 2009 Acura TL had over onto Two Parked Vehicles. The Rear Passenger of the Acura TL, Zion Jackson, 24, of Keansburg, New Jersey, Died of injuries he sustained in the Crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Driver and Other Passengers were all transported to a nearby Hospital and are being treated for Serious Injuries.


     The preliminary investigation by Officer Thomas Calise of The Sayreville Police Department and Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office Detective James Alleva determined that the Acura TL was traveling Southbound on Route 35 when it Veered Off the Roadway, Striking a Protective Bollard for a Fire Hydrant and then Rolled Over On Top of Two Parked Vehicles. There were no occupants in the parked vehicles.

HALEDON, NJ.- A 27-Year-Old South Brunswick, New Jersey man was Hospitalized after being Shot Yesterday Afternoon in a quiet residential neighborhood in Haledon, New Jersey.


     According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at approximately 4:06 p.m., Members of The Haledon Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a Shooting in the area of Ida and North 16th Streets in Haledon.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a 27-Year-Old South Brunswick man suffering from a Non-Life Threatening Gunshot Wound. The man was immediately transported to Saint Joseph's University Medical Center for treatment. 


     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time.

JACKSON TOWNSHIP, NJ.- A 27-Year-Old Beachwood, New Jersey man, who is Employed as a Teacher at Carl W. Goetz Middle School and a Club Advisor at Jackson Memorial High School was Taken into Custody last Wednesday and Charged with having inappropriate Sexual Contact with a Student on High School Property.


     According to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer, that following an investigation and Execution of a Court Authorized Search Warrant by Members of The Ocean County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit, The Jackson Township Police Department, and The Ocean County Sheriff's Crime Scene Investigation Unit, Andrew Fantasia, 27, of Beachwood, New Jersey was Arrested and Charged with Aggravated Criminal Sexual Contact; Endangering the Welfare of a Child; and Official Misconduct. 


     The investigation determined, that while Employed at The Carl W. Goetz Middle School and The Jackson Memorial High School, Mr. Fantasia had inappropriate Sexual Contact with a Student on School Property and requested Nude Photos of the Student.


     After being Processed on The Charges, Mr. Fantasia was Remanded to The Ocean County Jail pending Future Court Proceedings.


     " I would encourage parents to have a conversation with their children in order to determine whether they had Mr. Fantasia as teacher or advisor. PATERSON, NJ.- Violence continues on The Streets of Paterson, New Jersey when on Saturday, October 28, 2023, a 14-Year-Old Paterson Juvenile and a 25-Year-Old Paterson Man become the Latest Victims of Gun Violence in Two Separate Shootings.


     According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Saturday, October 28, 2023, shortly after 4:30 p.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a Shooting in the area of Halpine and North 2nd Streets in Paterson. Upon arrival, Police Officers found a 14-Year-Old Juvenile who had sustained a Non-Fatal Gunshot Wound. The Teen was immediately transported to Saint Joseph's University Medical Center for treatment. Police Officers were able to locate a Crime Scene in connection with the Shooting.


     Again, at approximately 8:21 p.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Belmont Avenue and North 8th Street in The City of Paterson on a report of a Shooting. Upon arrival, Police Officers found a 25-Year-Old Paterson Man who had sustained a Non-Fatal Gunshot Wound. The Man was immediately transported to Saint Joseph's University Medical Center for treatment.


     The investigations remain active and ongoing, and no arrests have been made in either Shooting.

PASSAIC, NJ.- Shots rang out early Saturday Morning, in a residential neighborhood in Passaic, New Jersey, leaving a 25-Year-Old Passaic man Dead on The Street and a 17-Year-Old Boy Hospitalized in Critical Condition.


     According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Saturday, October 28, 2023, shortly after 3:00 a.m., Members of The Passaic Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a Shooting in the area of Harrison Street and Hope Avenue in Passaic, New Jersey.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered Two male victims. The First Victim, a 25-Year-Old Passaic, New Jersey Man had succumbed to Gunshot Wounds and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Second Victim, a 17-Year-Old Passaic, New Jersey Boy was immediately transported to Saint Joseph's University Medical Center in Paterson where he was listed in critical condition.


      The investigation remains active and ongoing, and No arrests have been made at this time.

CAMDEN, NJ.- Detectives are continuing to Search for a Suspect in a Friday Night Shooting that Claimed the Life of a 33-Year-Old Camden, New Jersey Man, and left a 32-Year-Old Camden, New Jersey Woman Hospitalized from Multiple Gunshot Wounds.


     According to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay, on Friday, October 27, 2023, at approximately 7:58 p.m., Members of The Camden County Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call located at The 2800 Block of Hull Road in Camden on a report of an individual being Shot.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found Two Victims, Akeem Jenkins, 33, of Camden, New Jersey, and a 32-Year-Old Camden Woman, both suffering from Multiple Gunshot Wounds. The Two were immediately transported to Cooper University Hospital, where Mr. Jenkins succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased a short time later. The Woman was treated for Non-Life-Threatening injuries and was released from the hospital.


     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No Arrests have been made at this time. EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NJ.- A 51-Year-Old Egg Harbor Township man was Arrested last night after admitting to Police Officers that he Shot and Killed his 44-Year-Old live-in Girlfriend, Charlena Burnett.


     According to Atlantic County Prosecutor William Reynold, on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at 7:30 p.m., Members of The Egg Harbor Township Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call located at 374 Zion Road in The Township reporting a Shooting.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found Ms. Burnett deceased in the residence from Multiple Gunshot Wounds. After admitting to Police Officers that he had Shot and Killed Ms. Burnett, Dorsey was placed under Arrest. Ms. Burnett and Mr. Dorsey were both residents of the home on Zion Road and were in a Dating Relationship.


     After being transported to Egg Harbor Township Police Headquarters, Dorsey was Formally Charged with First Degree Murder; Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; and Second Degree Certain Persons Not to Possess Weapons. Dorsey was Processed on The Charges and Remanded to The Atlantic County Justice Facility pending Future Court Proceedings.

CAMDEN, NJ.- Following an investigation by Members of The Camden County Prosecutor's Office Crash Response Investigation Team and The New Jersey State Police Fatal Accident Unit into the circumstances surrounding a September 25, 2023, Camden City Fatal Accident. On Wednesday, October 25, 2023, a 32-Year-Old Oaklyn, New Jersey man was Taken into Custody and Charged with Causing the Death of a 12-Year-Old Girl and Hospitalizing a 14-Year-Old Girl who were Riding their Bicycles, according to Camden County Authorities.


     Troy Kee, II, 32, of Oaklyn, New Jersey was Charged on Wednesday with One Count of Second Degree Death By Auto; and Fourth Degree Assault by Auto. Mr. Kee was also issued Several Motor Vehicle Summonses.


     The investigation began into the Tragic Events of that Evening, when on Monday, September 25, 2023, just shortly before 8:00 p.m., Members of The Camden County Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call in the area of Mt. Ephraim and Ferry Avenues on a report of Two Children being Struck by a Motor Vehicle. Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered that Two Girls who were Riding their Bicycles had been Struck by a Motor Vehicle operated by Mr. Kee. 


     One of The Girls a 12-Year-Old sustained Fatal Injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Other Girl, a 14-Year-Old was immediately transported to Cooper University Hospital in Critical Condition. She has since been released and continues to recover at home.


     The investigation by investigators further determined that Mr. Kee was traveling at a High Rate of Speed when he Struck the Two Girls with his Vehicle.


     The investigation remains active and ongoing. MAYS LANDING, NJ.- A 44-Year-Old Pleasantville, New Jersey man who on December 18, 2022, walked into a Pleasantville Metro PCS Store and Demanded Money at Gunpoint, and later in the day got caught by Police with the Proceeds of The Robbery on him, entered a Guilty Plea in Atlantic County Superior Court to a Robbery Charge.



     According to Atlantic County Prosecutor William Reynolds, on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, Victor Goldman, 44, of Pleasantville, New Jersey appeared before The Honorable Pamela D'Arcy, J.S.C., and Pleaded Guilty to One Count of First Degree Robbery. In return for The Guilty Plea, The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office will recommend that Mr. Goldman be Sentenced to a Term of Ten Years in New Jersey State Prison. The Sentence will be Subject to The No Early Release Act which requires Mr. Goldman to Serve Eighty-Five Percent of his Custodial Term before becoming eligible for Parole.


     During the Court Hearing, Mr. Goldman admitted to Robbing a Pleasantville Metro PCS Store and Demanding Money from the Clerk and that the $940.00 that Police Officers found on him was the Proceeds of The Robbery. Sentencing in the matter has been Scheduled for December 13, 2023, in Atlantic County State Superior Court.

TRENTON, NJ.- Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri reported that on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, a 46-Year-Old Bridgeton, New Jersey man was Arrested and Charged in connection with The Stabbing Death of Corey Jones, who was Stabbed Multiple Times and Left to Die on a Trenton City Street.



     James B. Draper, 46, of Bridgeton, New Jersey has been Charged with One Count of First Degree Murder; Third Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; Fourth Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; and Second Degree Certain Persons Not to Possess Weapons. Mr. Draper was Taken into Custody in Bridgeton, New Jersey yesterday. The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office will File a Pretrial Detention Motion to have Mr. Draper Detained pending the outcome of The Charges Filed against him.


     Last week, just around 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 19, 2023, Members of The Trenton Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting an Unresponsive man in the area of Cross Street and Kersey Alley in The City of Trenton.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Corey Jones, 40, of Trenton, New Jersey, on the Ground in the Sidewalk Area suffering from Multiple Stab Wounds. Mr. Jones was immediately transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries and was subsequently pronounced deceased a short time later.


     The investigation is active and ongoing. ELIZABETH, NJ.- Union County Prosecutor William A Daniel reported that last Friday a 78-Year-Old Elizabeth, New Jersey man was Arrested and Charged after Disembarking a Plane at Newark Liberty International Airport for Sex Crimes he allegedly committed in 2015.


     Neil Rosenstein, 78, of Elizabeth, New Jersey has Formally been Charged with Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child; Third Degree Criminal Sexual Contact; and Fourth Degree Criminal Sexual Contact. 


     According to Union County Authorities, in October of 2022, Members of The Elizabeth Police Department received information about Alleged Sexual Acts committed by Mr. Rosenstein upon a Child, which occurred in 2015. A Joint Investigation by Detectives of The Elizabeth Police Department in conjunction with Members of The Union County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit determined that Mr. Rosenstein committed the Assault in Elizabeth, New Jersey during the summer of 2015, upon the Child who was Fifteen Years Old at the time of the Assault.


      At the conclusion of the investigation, Mr. Rosenstein was Charged but had left the country, and was ultimately Arrested last Friday after arriving on a Flight at Newark Liberty International Airport from another Country.


      Rosenstein was Processed on The Charges and Remanded to The Essex County Correctional Facility pending Future Court Proceedings in Union County State Superior Court.

CAMDEN, NJ.- Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay reported that a 34-Year-Old Camden City, New Jersey man was Charged with Murder and Weapons Offenses in connection with the October 15, 2023 Shooting Death of a 47-Year-Old Camden man.


     Jose O. Rivera, 34, of Camden City, New Jersey was Charged with First Degree Murder; Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. Mr. Rivera was Formally Charged at The Camden County Correctional Facility where he is in Custody on a Unrelated Charge.


     On Sunday, October 15, 2023, at approximately 12:46 p.m., Members of The Camden County Police Department to a Multiple ShotSpotter Activation on 7th and Bailey Streets in Camden. Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Jose G. Rivera, 47, of Camden City, New Jersey, suffering from Multiple Gunshot Wounds. Mr. Rivera was immediately transported to Cooper University Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased a short time later.

LEWISTON, ME.- Evil came to Lewiston, Maine last night when at 6:56 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, a Gunman Armed with an AR-15 walked into Sparetime Bowling Alley and then into Schemengees Bar & Grill and Opened Fire Killing 18 People and Injuring up to 13 People, in Maine's Second-Largest City. At this time Maine Authorities are withholding the exact number of Casualties.



     According to Authorities, a Manhunt is underway for a Person of Interest. Robert Card, 40, of Bowdoin, Maine, who is considered Armed & Dangerous at this time. Card an Army Reservist and Trained Firearms Instructor has been at large since the Two Shootings. Card had been reported as being Hospitalized for Two Weeks this past summer for Mental Health Issues. 


     Maine State Police has continued the Shelter in Place Orders for, The Lewiston, and Lisbon areas. Maine Authorities will be holding a Press Conference at 10:30 A.M. Today.

PATERSON, NJ.- A 29-Year-Old Paterson, New Jersey man was Taken into Custody and Charged in connection with an October 12, 2023, Paterson Shooting that Claimed the Life of a 47-Year-Old Paterson man from a Gunshot to his Head.



     According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, Following an Investigation by Detectives of The Paterson Police Department in conjunction with The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office, on Monday, October 24, 2023, Jaleel State, 29, of Paterson, New Jersey was Taken into Custody and Charged in connection with The Shooting Death of Adalberto Roman, 47, of Paterson, New Jersey that occurred in The Early Morning Hours of October12, 2023.


     On Thursday, October 12, 2023, at approximately 1:16 a.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a Shooting in the area of Summer Street and Hamilton Avenue in The City of Paterson.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Adalberto Roman, 47, of Paterson, Dead on The Street from a Gunshot Wound to the Head. Mr. Roman was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.


     Accordingly, Mr. State was Formally Charged yesterday with One Count of First Degree Murder; Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; Second Degree Certain Persons not to Possess Weapons; and One Count of First Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.


     Mr. State was Processed on The Charges and is currently being Detained in The Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, New Jersey. The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office has Filed a Pretrial Detention Motion to have Mr. State Detained pending the outcome of The Charges Filed Against him.

CHATHAM TOWNSHIP, NJ.- A Chatham Township, New Jersey man has been Sentenced to a Five Year Term in New Jersey State Prison for The July 4, 2023, Stabbing of a 51-Year-Old Chatham Township man that occurred during a Party at a Buxton Road Residence.


     According to Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll, on Monday, October 24, 2023, The Honorable Stephen J. Taylor J.S.C. Sentenced Brian Kozub, 39, of Chatham Township, New Jersey to a Term of Five Years in New Jersey State Prison. The Sentence is Subject to The No Early Release Act which would require Mr. Kozub to Serve Eight-Five Percent of his Custodial Term before becoming eligible for Parole.


     Kozub had entered a Guilty Plea on September 19, 2023, to One Count of Second Degree Aggravated Assault before the Honorable Judge Taylor, J.S.C.


     The Conviction and Sentence stem from an incident, when on July 4, 2023, at approximately 10:50 p.m., Members of The Chatham Township Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call at Buxton Road Residence in Chatham Township, on a report of an altercation resulting in a Stabbing.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a 51-Year-Old man who had sustained a Serious Stab Wound to his Neck. The initial investigation at the residence determined that while celebrating the 4th of July, Mr. Kozub during an altercation took out a Pocket Knife and Stabbed the Man in the Neck. Accordingly, Mr. Kozub was immediately Arrested and transported to The Morris County Correctional Facility where he has remained since his Arrest.

SECAUCUS, NJ.- Today, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez reported that on Monday, October 23, 2023, Members of The Hudson County Special Victims Unit Arrested and Charged a 30-Year-Old Secaucus, New Jersey man in connection with Sex Crimes on a Teen Girl. The Alleged Crimes occurred in a Secaucus Apartment on Multiple Occasions in 2022 and 2023, when the Girl was between the Ages of 14 and 15 Years-Old.


     Following an Investigation by Members of The Hudson County Special Victims Unit, Anyelo Jimenez-Marte, 30, of Secaucus, New Jersey was Arrested and Formally Charged with Second Degree of Sexual Assault; and Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.


     Mr. Jimenez-Marte was Processed on The Charges and Remanded to The Hudson County Correctional Facility. The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office has Filed a Pretrial Detention Motion to have Mr. Jimenez-Matre Detained pending the outcome of The Charges Against him. The Motion has been Scheduled for Thursday, October 26, 2023 in Hudson County State Superior Court.
