MONTCLAIR, NJ.- A 83-Year-Old Montclair, New Jersey Woman was Tragically Killed Saturday Afternoon after being Struck by a Motor Vehicle at a Montclair Intersection.
Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II reported that on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at approximately 12:15 p.m., Members of The Montclair Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a Motor Vehicle Pedestrian Collision at the Intersection of Bellevue Avenue and Park Street in Montclair.
Upon arrival, Police Officers located a vehicle that had Struck a Woman. The Woman, later identified as Vivian Folkenflik, 83, of Montclair was immediately transported to Mountainside Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at 1:00 p.m.
The investigation remains active and ongoing and is being conducted by The Essex County Prosecutor's Office Crime Scene Investigations Bureau.
