BREAKING: Camden, New Jersey Man Charged With Murder

CAMDEN MAN CHARGED FOR THE OCTOBER 15, 2023 FATAL SHOOTING OF A 47-YEAR-OLD CAMDEN MAN

     " Jose O. Rivera Was Charged On Monday With The Shooting Death Of Jose G. Rivera That Occurred On Sunday, October 15, 2023."

CAMDEN, NJ.- Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay reported that a 34-Year-Old Camden City, New Jersey man was Charged with Murder and Weapons Offenses in connection with the October 15, 2023 Shooting Death of a 47-Year-Old Camden man.


     Jose O. Rivera, 34, of Camden City, New Jersey was Charged with First Degree Murder; Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. Mr. Rivera was Formally Charged at The Camden County Correctional Facility where he is in Custody on a Unrelated Charge.


     On Sunday, October 15, 2023, at approximately 12:46 p.m., Members of The Camden County Police Department to a Multiple ShotSpotter Activation on 7th and Bailey Streets in Camden. Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Jose G. Rivera, 47, of Camden City, New Jersey, suffering from Multiple Gunshot Wounds. Mr. Rivera was immediately transported to Cooper University Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased a short time later.
