BREAKING: Oaklyn, New Jersey Man Charged In Fatal Crash

32-YEAR-OLD OAKLYN MAN CHARGED IN A SEPTEMBER CRASH THAT KILLED A GIRL AND HOSPITALIZED ANOTHER

     " Troy Kee, II Was Charged Wednesday With Death By Auto & Assault By Auto For Hitting 2 Girl Bicyclists, Killing A 12-Year-Old & Hospitalizing A 14-Year-Old."

CAMDEN, NJ.- Following an investigation by Members of The Camden County Prosecutor's Office Crash Response Investigation Team and The New Jersey State Police Fatal Accident Unit into the circumstances surrounding a September 25, 2023, Camden City Fatal Accident. On Wednesday, October 25, 2023, a 32-Year-Old Oaklyn, New Jersey man was Taken into Custody and Charged with Causing the Death of a 12-Year-Old Girl and Hospitalizing a 14-Year-Old Girl who were Riding their Bicycles, according to Camden County Authorities.


     Troy Kee, II, 32, of Oaklyn, New Jersey was Charged on Wednesday with One Count of Second Degree Death By Auto; and Fourth Degree Assault by Auto. Mr. Kee was also issued Several Motor Vehicle Summonses.


     The investigation began into the Tragic Events of that Evening, when on Monday, September 25, 2023, just shortly before 8:00 p.m., Members of The Camden County Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call in the area of Mt. Ephraim and Ferry Avenues on a report of Two Children being Struck by a Motor Vehicle. Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered that Two Girls who were Riding their Bicycles had been Struck by a Motor Vehicle operated by Mr. Kee. 


     One of The Girls a 12-Year-Old sustained Fatal Injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Other Girl, a 14-Year-Old was immediately transported to Cooper University Hospital in Critical Condition. She has since been released and continues to recover at home.


     The investigation by investigators further determined that Mr. Kee was traveling at a High Rate of Speed when he Struck the Two Girls with his Vehicle.


     The investigation remains active and ongoing.
