BREAKING: Garfield, New Jersey Man Charged

30-YEAR-OLD GARFIELD MAN CHARGED IN CONNECTION WITH THE FATAL OVERDOSE OF A MAN

GARFIELD, NJ.- Yesterday, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella reported that a 30-Year-Old Garfield, New Jersey man was Arrested and Charged with causing the Fatal Overdose of of a Garfield man after selling him Fentanyl Lased Counterfeit Oxycodone Pills.


     On Sunday, September 17, 2023, at approximately 6:41 p.m., Members of The Garfield Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a Drug Overdose of Two Individuals located on Lincoln Place in Garfield, New Jersey. Upon arrival, Police Officers located two People in the area of 249 Lincoln Place, Unresponsive from an apparent Overdose.


     Both People were administered Narcan and immediately transported to a Local Hospital, where one of the individuals, later identified as Ivan Santiago, 30, of Garfield, New Jersey was pronounced deceased. 


     Detectives of The Bergen County Narcotics Task Force and The Garfield Police Department launched an investigation into the Death of Mr. Santiago and related Drug Activity. Detectives were able to Determine that Juhaan Hammond, 30, of Garfield, New Jersey sold The Fatal Overdose to Mr. Santiago, which led to his Death.


     Accordingly, on Thursday, September 21, 2023, Mr. Hammond was Arrested in Garfield, New Jersey, and Formally Charged with One Count of First Degree Strict Liability in a Drug-Induced Death; Third Degree Distribution of Counterfeit Oxycodone Pills Containing Fentanyl; Third Degree of a Controlled Dangerous Substance within 1000 Feet of School Property; Third Degree Possession of Amphetamine; and Fourth Degree Distribution of Counterfeit Oxycodone.


     Mr. Hammond was Processed on The Charges and Remanded to The Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, New Jersey pending Future Court Proceedings.

BREAKING: Paramus, New Jersey Man Charged

53-YEAR-OLD PARAMUS MAN CHARGED WITH SEXUALLY ASSAULTING TWO PRE-TEENS

PARAMUS, NJ.- Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella reported that Yesterday a 53-Year-Old Paramus, New Jersey man was taken into custody and Charged for Allegedly Sexually Assaulting Two Pre-Teen Children in Paramus, New Jersey on more than one occassion.


     On Tuesday, September 19, 2023, The Division of Child Protection & Permanency contacted The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit regarding The Alleged Sexual Assault of Two Children. An Investigation was initiated by Members of The Bergen County Special Victims Unit in conjunction with The Paramus Police Department. The investigation determined that Edison Pro, 53, of Paramus, New Jersey, Sexually Assaulted Two Children who were 13 Years or Younger, in Paramus, New Jersey on more than one occasion.


     At the conclusion of the investigation, on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, Mr. Pro was Taken into Custody in Paramus and Formally Charged with Two Counts of Second Degree Sexual Assault by Contact; Two Counts of Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child; and Third Degree Aggravated Criminal Sexual Contact.


     Mr. Pro was Processed on The Charges and Remanded to The Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, New Jersey pending Future Court Proceedings.

TRENTON, NJ.- Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri reported that Members of The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and The Trenton Police Department are continuing their investigation into The Shooting Death of a 37-Year-Old Trenton man that occurred late Saturday Night.


     On Saturday, September 16, 2023, just shortly before midnight, Members of The Trenton Police Department responded to Numerous ShotSpotter Activations in the area of Brunswick Avenue and Middle Rose Street in The City. Upon arrival, Police Officers located a Man, later identified as Balil Lewis, 37, of Trenton, New Jersey, lying on the Sidewalk Area in the Center of Middle Rose Street suffering from Multiple Gunshot Wounds.


     Mr. Lewis was immediately transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.


     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made and authorities continue their search for a suspect. TEANECK, NJ.- Today, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella reported that following The Return of an Indictment by a Bergen County Grand Jury a 41-Year-Old Business Man of Aventura, Florida Surrendered Yesterday to Bergen County Authorities on Charges in connection to The Alleged Multiple Sexual Assaults on a Child under the Age of Sixteen that occurred in Teaneck, New Jersey back in 2021.



     On Friday, November 19, 2021, The Federal Bureau of Investigations contacted The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit regarding the Alleged Sexual Assault of a Child. A Joint Investigation by Members of The Bergen County Special Victims Unit and Agents of The Federal Bureau of Investigations determined that Shalom Yehudiel, 41, of Aventura, Florida Sexually Assaulted the Child, who was 16-Year-Old or Younger at the time of the Assault, in Teaneck, New Jersey, on more than one occasion.


     As a result of The Investigation, on Thursday, August 31, 2023, a Grand Jury sitting in Bergen County, New Jersey, Returned an Indictment Charging Mr. Yehudiel with First Degree Sexual Assault; Second Degree Sexual Assault; and Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Mr. Yehudiel was Processed on The Charges and Remanded to The Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, New Jersey pending Future Court Proceedings.

HAWTHORNE, NJ.- Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes reported that on Sunday, September 17, 2023, a 34-Year-Old Hawthorne, New Jersey man was Taken into Custody and Charged in connection with a Late Saturday Night Shooting that left a Ridgefield, New Jersey man injured.


     On Saturday, September 16, 2023, at approximately 10:37 p.m., Members of The Hawthorne Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a Shooting in the area of Wagner Place and Midland Avenue in Hawthorne, New Jersey.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers located a 32-Year-Old Ridgefield man who had sustained a Non-Fatal Gunshot Wound. The man was treated on the scene and did not need to be transported to the hospital.



     A Swift-Moving Investigation by Detectives of The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office and The Hawthorne Police Department quickly identified Angel Alberto, 34, of Hawthorne, New Jersey as a Suspect and the Individual Responsible for Shooting the man. Accordingly, on Sunday, September 17, 2023, Mr. Alberto turned himself in at The Hawthorne Police Department and was Formally Charged with Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; Second Degree Aggravated Assault; and Fourth Degree Aggravated Assault.


     Mr. Alberto was Processed on The Charges and Remanded to The Passaic County Jail pending a Pretrial Detention Hearing in Passaic County State Superior Court.

PASSAIC, NJ.- Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes reported that following an investigation into the Alleged Sexual Assault of a Child that occurred on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, a 22-Year-Old Passaic, New Jersey was Taken into Custody on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 and Charged with Multiple Sex and Assault Offenses.



     Stiven Peralta, 22, of Passaic, New Jersey has been Formally Charged with One Count of First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; One Count of Second Degree Sexual Assault; One Count of Second Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; One Count of Third Degree Aggravated Assault; Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child; Third Degree Criminal Restraint; Fourth Degree Resisting Arrest; and One Count of a Disorderly Persons Offense of False Imprisonment.


     According to Authorities on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, Mr. Peralta Sexually Assaulted and Repeatedly Assaulted a Child at a Residence in Passaic, New Jersey, further Restraining the Child when She Attempted to Leave the Residence. Just shortly after Midnight on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, Police Officers located Mr. Peralta and Arrested him in the area of Washington Place and Columbia Avenue in Passaic, New Jersey.


     Mr. Peralta was Processed on The Charges and transported to The Bergen County Jail pending Future Court Proceedings. If Convicted on all The Charges Mr. Peralta will face a Potential Sentence of up to Life in New Jersey State Prison.

NEWARK MAN CHARGED IN GARDEN STATE PARKWAY ROBBERY CRIME SPREE

UNION, NJ.- Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel reported that following an investigation by Members of The Union County Prosecutor's Office, The Union Police Department, and The New Jersey State Police a 26-Year-Old Newark, New Jersey man has been Arrested and Charged in connection with the Multiple Armed Robberies of Gas Stations along The Garden State Parkway that occurred on September 5, 2023.


     On September 5, 2023, The New Jersey State Police and The Union Police Department received multiple reports that Three Robberies had occurred within 30-Minutes of each other along The Garden State Parkway. During each Robbery, Multiple Suspects arrived at a Gas Station in a Stolen Vehicle and approached the victims demanding money and other items. During Two of The Robberies, The Victims were Physically Assaulted. 


     A Swift-Moving and Collaborative Investigation by Union County Authorities and The New Jersey State Police quickly led to Joseph Young, 26, of Newark, New Jersey as one of the Suspects in The Armed Robberies. Following a Motor Vehicle Pursuit in Newark, New Jersey, on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, Mr. Young was Arrested.


     Accordingly, Mr.Young was Formally Charged with Four Counts of First Degree Robbery; One Count of Second Degree Eluding; Three Counts of Second Degree Conspiracy to Commit Robbery; Two Counts of Third Degree Aggravated Assault; Two Counts of Third Degree Conspiracy to Commit Aggravated Assault; One Count of Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child; One Count of Third Degree Receiving Stolen Property; and One Count of Third Degree Terroristic Threats. 


     Mr. Young was Processed on The Charges and Remanded to The Essex County Jail pending Future Court Proceedings.

FORT LEE, NJ.- Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella reported that The Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit and The Fort Lee Police Department are actively investigating Yesterday's Death of a 7-Year-Old Child.


     On Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at approximately 5:29 p.m., Members of The Fort Lee Police Department responded to an Apartment Complex located on Anderson Avenue in Fort Lee in response to a 911 Emergency Call reporting an Unresponsive Child.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a 7-Year-Old Child Unresponsive. The Child was immediately transported to Hackensack University Medical Center and was subsequently pronounced deceased.


     Preliminary reports by Authorities show that The Child Fell out of an Open Window of the Apartment Located on the 21st Floor.  


     The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information may become available once released by Authorities.

BREAKING: Clifton, New Jersey Death Investigation

PASSAIC COUNTY AUTHORITIES CONTINUE TO INVESTIGATE THE DEATH OF TWO PEOPLE IN CLIFTON

     " Police Are Investigating The Circumstance Surrounding The Death Of 2 People Who Were Found Dead Each From A Gunshot Wound."

CLIFTON, NJ.- Police Officials have not given much information into what may have been an apparent Murder-Suicide of a Man and a Woman discovered by Police Officers, dead inside their residence yesterday, from a single Gunshot Wound.


     According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Wednesday, September 12, 2023, Members of The Clifton Police Department were dispatched to a Residence located in the area of 3rd Street and Hadley Avenue in Clifton, New Jersey to conduct a Welfare Check. Upon arrival, Police Officers made entry into the residence and discovered Zofia Koe, 73, of Clifton, and Peter Koe, 33, of Clifton deceased each, from an apparent Gunshot Wound.


     According to authorities, the investigation remains active and ongoing. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence and at this time no suspects are being sought. Police report that there is no Danger to the Public.

BREAKING: Weehawken, New Jersey Man Sentenced To Prison

24-YEAR-OLD WEEHAWKEN MAN SENTENCED TO STATE PRISON FOR THE STABBING DEATH OF A WOMAN

     " Joseph Palacios Was Sentenced To 24 Years In New Jersey State Prison For The Fatal Stabbing Of Michelle Paola Castillo-Siguencia."

JERSEY CITY, NJ.- Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez reported that on Friday, September 8, 2023, a Hudson County State Superior Court Judge Sentenced Joseph Palacios, 24, of Weehawken, New Jersey to a Term of Twenty-Four Years in New Jersey State Prison for The Stabbing Death of Michelle Paola Castillo-Siguencia, 24, inside her Weehawken Apartment back on June 19, 2021.


     Mr. Palacios had previously Pleaded Guilty to One Count of Aggravated Manslaughter in return for the 24-Year Sentence. The Sentence will be Subject to The No Early Release Act which will require Mr. Palacios to Serve Eighty-Five Percent of his Custodial Term before becoming eligible for parole.


     On Saturday, June 19, 2021, at approximately 6:00 p.m., Members of The Weehawken Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a Medical Emergency at an Apartment located at 561 Hudson Avenue. Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered a Woman, later identified as Ms. Castill0-Siguencia Unresponsive from Multiple Stab Wounds to her Neck.


     Ms. Castillo-Seguencia was pronounced deceased at 6:48 p.m. The Hudson County Regional Medical Examiner's Office determined The Cause of Death to be Multiple Stab Wounds to The Neck and The Manner of Death to be Homicide. After a brief Stand-Off with Police, Mr. Palacios was Taken into Custody in a Union City Apartment a short time later.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ.- Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone reported that on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, a 55-Year-Old Edison Middle School Teacher was Arrested and Charged with Possession of Images of Child Pornography. 


     After receiving a Cyber Tip from The New Jersey State Police, an investigation was initiated by Detective Ken McGarry of The Internet Crimes Against Children and Detective Stepanie Redline of The Middlesex County Special Victims Unit into Computer Activity by Julius Coaccioli, 55, of Woodbridge Township, New Jersey.


     At the conclusion of the investigation, Mr. Coaccioli was Taken into Custody at his Woodbridge Township Home and Charged with Third Degree Possession of Child Pornography for Possessing under 1,000 Sexually Explicit Digital Images of Children.

BREAKING: Asbury Park, New Jersey Woman Sentenced To Prison

FREEHOLD, NJ.- Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago reported that a 27-Year-Old Asbury Park, New Jersey woman has been Sentenced to a Term of Eight Years in New Jersey State Prison for being responsible for The Overdose Death of her 2-Year-Old Son in early January 2023.


     In accordance with the Sentence handed down by Monmouth County State Superior Court Judge Marc C. Lemieux, Quanique Smith, 27, of Asbury Park, New Jersey, will be required to Serve Eighty-Five Percent of The Eight Year Sentence before becoming Eligible for Parole pursuant to The No Early Release Act.


     On Thursday, January 5, 2023, Members of The Asbury Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting an Unresponsive Child inside an Apartment located on The 100 Block of Langford Street. Upon arrival, Police Officers found a 2-Year-Old Boy Unresponsive. The Child was immediately rushed to a local hospital, where he was subsequently pronounced deceased.


     A subsequent investigation by Detectives from The Monmouth County Prosecutors Office and The Asbury Park Police Department determined that Quantities of Heroin and Fentanyl belonging to Ms. Smith had been left in the Family's Home and were in Reach of Smith's 2-Year-Old Son and his 5-Year-Old Sibling. The 2-Year-Old Boy ingested the Drugs that directly caused his Death. 


     Ms. Smith was Arrested later on the same day and was Remanded to The Monmouth County Correctional Institution where she has remained. In May, Ms. Smith Pleaded Guilty to a Charge of First Degree Aggravated Manslaughter, In which Ms.Smith would be Sentenced as Second Degree Offender. Ms. Smith will now be transferred to The New Jersey Department of Corrections to begin her Sentence.

     On Thursday, September 7, 2023, Detectives of The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Cyber Crimes Unit Executed a Court Authorized Search Warrant at the Home of Levon Dayermenjian, 59, located in Cliffside Park, New Jersey, at the conclusion of a Child Sexual Abuse Material Investigation. The investigation determined that Mr. Dayermenjian used the Internet to View, Download, and Possess Digital Images Depicting Nude and or Sexually Explicit Prepubescent Children.


     Accordingly, on Thursday, September 7, 2023, Mr. Dayermenjian was Arrested at The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office in Paramus, New Jersey, and Formally Charged with One Count of Third Degree Possession of Child Pornography. Dayermenjian was Processed on The Charges and Remanded to The Bergen County Jail pending Future Court Proceedings.

Valdes reported that following an investigation by Detectives of The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit a Paterson, New Jersey Charter School Teacher's Aide and Soccer Coach has been Charged with Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.


     On Friday, September 1, 2023, The Paterson Police Department contacted The Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit after receiving a report that a 14-Year-Old Student at The Paterson Arts & Science Charter School had received a Sexually Explicit Picture from Favio Martell of Garfield, New Jersey who is a Teacher's Aide and Soccer Coach at The School.


     Accordingly, at the conclusion of the investigation, On Wednesday, September 6, 2023, Mr. Martell was Arrested and Charged with One Count of Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of A Child. Martell was Processed on The Charge and Remanded to The Passaic County Jail. On Thursday, September 7, 2023, Mr. Martell made his First Appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court where he was Released pending Trial on Monitoring and Special Conditions Prohibiting Mr. Martell from having contact with any Minor Children.

MILLVILLE, NJ.- Burlington County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae reported that a 34-Year-Old Bridgeton, New Jersey man has been Arrested and Charged in connection with the Fatal Shooting of Shanelle Stewart that occurred yesterday morning.


     During the early morning hours of Thursday, September 7, 2023, Members of The Millville Police Department responded to The 2000 Block of Wheaton Avenue in Millville. Upon arrival, Police Officers located a Woman, later identified as Shanelle Stewart, 25, of Vineland, New Jersey deceased inside a Vehicle from a Gunshot Wound. Ms. Stewart was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene. 


     A Swift-Moving Investigation by Members of The Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office in conjunction with Detectives of The Millville Police Department was quickly able to identify Alex Blocker, 34, of Bridgeton, New Jersey as a Suspect and the individual responsible for the Shooting Death of Ms.Stewart.


     Accordingly, Mr. Blocker was Taken into Custody later in the day on Thursday and Formally Charged with One Count of First Degree Murder; Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. Mr. Blocker was Processed on The Charges and Remanded to The Cumberland County Jail pending his First Appearance and a Detention Hearing in Cumberland County State Superior Court.

PATERSON, NJ.- After a brief relief from the senseless violence that has Paterson, New Jersey Streets, Gunfire once again breaks out over The Labor Day Weekend. From last Wednesday Night through Monday Evening Five Separate Shootings have Killed a Man and Left Eight others Hospitalized.


     Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdez and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Isa Abbassi released the following.


     On Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at approximately 8:40 p.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to the area of 12th Avenue and East 23rd Street in Paterson on a report of a Shooting. Upon arrival, Police Officers located Shell Casings and Evidence of a Crime Scene. While canvassing the area Police Officers were notified that a 25-Year-Old Paterson resident and a 19-year-old Paterson man had arrived at Saint Joseph's University Medical Center seeking treatment for Non-Life Threatening Gunshot Wounds.


     On Sunday, September 3, 2023, just around 2:40 a.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Union Avenue and Jasper Street in The City of Paterson on a report of Multiple Gunshots. Upon arrival, Police Officers found a 28-Year-Old Elmwood Park resident and were informed of a Second Gunshot Victim, a 33-Year-Old Paterson man, both suffering from Gunshot Wounds. The two were immediately transported to Saint Joseph's University Medical Center for treatment for Non-Life Threatening Gunshot Wounds. Police Officers located a Crime Scene in the area. While investigating Police Officers were notified that a 29-Year-Old Paterson man had arrived at Saint Joseph's University Medical Center by way of a Private Vehicle seeking treatment for a Non-Life Threatening Gunshot Wounds.


     Just three hours later, on Sunday, September 3, 2023, at approximately 5:37 a.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Route 19 and Ward Street in The City of Paterson on a report of an Unresponsive man parked in a Vehicle. Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man inside a Vehicle Dead from a Gunshot Wound to his Head the man was pronounced deceased at the scene.


     On Monday, September 4, 2023, at approximately 2:30 a.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to Saint Joseph's University Medical Center after being notified by Hospital Staff that a 23-Year-Old Paterson man had arrived there seeking treatment for Multiple Non-Life Threatening Gunshot Wounds. During the preliminary investigation, Police Officers were able to determine that the man was Shot in the area of 22nd Avenue and Market Street in Paterson, New Jersey.


     Later in the evening, On Monday, September 4, 2023, just minutes before 7:00 p.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department to the area of Lawrence and Mercer Streets in The City of Paterson on a report of a Shooting. Upon arrival, Police Officers found a 23-Year-Old Paterson man who had sustained a Non-Life Threatening Gunshot Wound. The man was transported to Saint Joseph's University Medical Center for treatment. Prior to the report of this Shooting, The Paterson Police Department was notified of Shots Fired in the area of Godwin Avenue and Rosa Parks Boulevard in The City of Paterson. Police Officers responded and located Shell Casings at the location.


     The investigations in all Five Shootings remain active and ongoing. No arrests have been made. ELIZABETH, NJ.- Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel reported that on Friday, September 1, 2023, a 33-Year-Old Newark, New Jersey man and a 31-Year-Old Elizabeth, New Jersey man were Arrested and Charged in connection with a Shooting that Claimed the Life of a 28-Year-Old Roselle, New Jersey man and left a 23-Year-Old woman and a 3-Year-Old girl hospitalized from Gunshot Wounds.


     On Monday, June 26, 2023, at just around 8:30 p.m., Members of The Elizabeth Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting Multiple People Shot in The 600 Block of Salem Avenue in The City of Elizabeth.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered a Vehicle with Three Occupants, a Man, a 23-year-old Woman, and a 3-Year-Old Girl all suffering from Multiple Gunshot Wounds. The Man, Later identified as Guerley Edouard, 28, of Roselle, New Jersey was immediately transported to Trinitas Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was subsequently pronounced deceased. The 23-Year-Old Woman and The 3-Year-Old Girl were both immediately transported to University Hospital in Newark for Treatment.


     A Joint Investigation by Members of The Union County Homicide Task Force in conjunction with The Elizabeth Police Department, Union County Sheriff's Office Crimes Scene Unit, and The Union County Police Ballistics Unit led to Walter Daniels, 33, of Newark, New Jersey, and Devon Gray, 31, of Elizabeth, New Jersey as Suspects and the Individuals responsible for The Shooting Death of Mr. Edouard and Shooting of The Woman and Child.


     Accordingly, on Friday, September 1, 2023, Mr. Daniels and Mr. Gray were Taken into Custody, and each Charged with First Degree Murder; Two Counts of First Degree Attempted Murder; Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; and Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.


     If Convicted on The Charges, both Mr. Daniels and Mr. Gray will Face a Term of Life in New Jersey State Prison.

NEWARK, NJ.- Acting Essex County Prosecutor reported that Detectives of The Essex County Prosecutor's Office Homicide Task Force continue to investigate the Fatal Shooting of a 49-Year-Old Newark, New Jersey Man.


     On Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at approximately 9:17 p.m., Members of The Newark Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a Shooting in the area of The 100 Block of Goodwin Avenue in Newark. 


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Andre Shoulars, 49, suffering from Multiple Gunshot Wounds. Mr. Scoulars was immediately transported to University Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was subsequently pronounced deceased at 9:50 p.m.

TRENTON, NJ.- Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri reported that Detectives are continuing to investigate an Early Saturday Morning Shooting that has Claimed the Life of a 40-Year-Old Trenton, New Jersey Man.


     On Saturday, September 2, 2023, just minutes after midnight, Members of The Trenton Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a Man being Shot in The 200 Block of Brunswick Avenue in Trenton. Upon arrival, Police Officers found an unresponsive man, later identified as Ronald Taylor, 40, of Trenton, New Jersey, in a Vacant Lot suffering from a Gunshot Wound.


     Mr. Taylor was immediately transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injury and was subsequently pronounced deceased a short time later.


     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time. More information may become available once released by authorities. MOUNT HOLLY, NJ.- Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw reported that on Thursday, August 31, 2023, a Jury sitting in Burlington County, New Jersey Returned Guilty Verdicts against a 26-Year-Old Evesham, New Jersey Man in the 2022 Fatal Stabbing of His Friend and his Friends Dog, while Robbing him.



     Last Thursday after Deliberating for just over an hour, a Burlington County Jury Returned Guilty Verdicts against Donovan G. Hollingsworth on Charges of First Degree Murder; First Degree Robbery; Third Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; Third Degree Cruelty to Animals; and Fourth Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. The Honorable Christopher J. Garrenger, J.S.C. has Scheduled Sentencing in the matter for October 27, 2023, at which time, Mr. Hollingsworth will be Sentenced to Life in New Jersey State Prison.


     The Conviction stems from an investigation that began in the morning hours of February 5, 2023, when Members of The Evesham Township Police Department responded to The Olympus Apartments located on Baker Boulevard in The Township on a report of a Dog Attack. Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered Thomas Pierson, III, 26, deceased inside his Apartment from Multiple Stab Wounds. 


     Mr. Pierson's Dog, a Cane Corso named Django, was found Dead from Multiple Stab Wounds on a Stairwell Landing. The investigation quickly determined that Mr. Hollingsworth went to Mr. Pierson's Apartment with the purpose of Robbing him. An Altercation between Hollingsworth and Pierson ensued, at which time Mr. Hollingsworth Stabbed Mr. Pierson and Django Multiple Times Each. 


     Hollingsworth then Fled the scene and was later Taken into Custody by Evesham Township Police Officers at The Emergency Room of Virtua Voorhees Hospital, where he had gone for treatment of minor injuries.

JERSEY CITY, NJ.- Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez reported that Detectives of The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and The Jersey City Police Department are actively investigating an Early Friday Morning Collision that Killed a Bloomfield, New Jersey Woman and left Two Newark, New Jersey Men Hospitalized.


     On Friday, September 1, 2023, at around 2:15 a.m., Members of The Jersey City Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a Serious Motor Vehicle Crash on Route 1 and 9 North Ramp on Route 139 West in The City. Upon arrival, Police Officers located a Tractor-Trailer and a 2018 Audi Motor Vehicle that had Collided. The Audi was found on its roof with extensive damage.


     The occupants of the Audi, the Driver, a 22-Year-Old Newark, New Jersey Man, a 23-Year-Old Newark, New Jersey Man, and a 21-Year-Old Bloomfield, New Jersey Woman were immediately transported to Jersey City Medical Center, where the Woman succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased a short time later. The Two Men were treated for Non-Life Threatening Injuries. The Driver of the Tractor-Trailer, a 53-Year-Old Man who remained at the scene was not injured in the Crash.


     The initial investigation resulted in the Driver of the Audi being issued a Motor Vehicle Summons, while Detectives continue their investigation. The investigation remains ongoing.
