GUNFIRE ERUPTED IN JERSEY CITY SATURDAY MORNING KILLING ONE AND INJURING TWO

JERSEY CITY, NJ.- A 33-Year-Old Jersey City, New Jersey man was Fatally Shot and Two other men were wounded in a Saturday Morning Shooting after Gunfire Erupted on Jordan Avenue in Jersey City, New Jersey.
According to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez, on Saturday, March 9, 2024, shortly before 6:30 a.m., Members of The Jersey City Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting Shots Fired on Jordan Avenue in Jersey City.
Upon arrival, Police Officers located Shell Casings and Evidence of a Crime Scene on Jordan Avenue between Mercer and Vroom Streets in Jersey City. Police Officers were unable to locate any Victims.
Within minutes The Jersey City Police Department was notified that Three Men had arrived at Jersey City Medical Center by a Private Motor Vehicle seeking treatment for Gunshot Wounds. One of the men, Christoph Terrero Marte, 33, of Jersey City, New Jersey succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 7:35 a.m. Saturday. The Other Two Men, a 28-year-old Union City, New Jersey man, and a 31-year-old Jersey City, New Jersey man were admitted to the Hospital for treatment of Non-Life Threatening Gunshot Wounds.
The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office Homicide Unit and The Jersey City Police Department are actively investigating this Shooting. No arrests have been made as Police continue to search for a Suspect.
