73-YEAR-OLD YOUTH COACH HAS NOW BEEN CHARGED WITH SEXUALLY ASSAULTING TWO TEENS

BRIDGETON, NJ.- Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae reported that following an investigation, on Friday, August 4, 2023, Robert R. Marino, 73, of Bridgeton, New Jersey, was Additionally Charged with Sexually Assaulting a Second Victim.
The Additional Charges are a result of an investigation into Alleged Sex Crimes upon a Juvenile Victim that occurred in The City of Bridgeton between the Years of 1994 and 1998. The Juvenile was between 14 and 17 when the Crimes were Allegedly Committed. Mr. Marino was a Youth Coach in The City of Bridgeton and in Cumberland County and was serving in such a capacity when the Crimes were committed.
Accordingly, on Friday Mr. Marino was Formally Charged with One Count of First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; and Two Counts of Second Degree Sexual Assault. Marino was Processed on The Charges and Remanded to Cumberland County Jail. The Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office will File a Pretrial Detention Motion to have Mr. Marino Detained pending the resolution of The Charges Filed Against him.
Mr. Marino was First Charged on a Complaint-Warrant for similar conduct involving a Separate Juvenile that occurred in The City of Bridgeton around July 3, 2023. Marino will face Prosecution on The Charges of One Count of First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; and Two Counts of Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
