ENGLEWOOD, NJ.- Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella reported that following an investigation, a 49-Year-Old Clifton, New Jersey man has been Charged in connection with the alleged Sexual Assault of a Child between the Ages of Thirteen and Sixteen.
On Sunday, July 23, 2023, Members of The Englewood Police Department contacted The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit regarding the Sexual Assault of a Child that occurred in Englewood, New Jersey.
A Joint Investigation was initiated and Detectives of The Bergen County Special Victims and The Englewood Police Police Department were quickly able to determine that Esmond Nimblett, 49, of Clifton, New Jersey Sexually Assaulted the Child who was between the ages of 13 and 16 in Englewood.
Accordingly, on Thursday, August 3, 2023, Mr. Nimblett was taken into Custody and Charged with Two Counts of Second Degree Sexual Assault; Two Counts of Third Degree Criminal Aggravated Sexual Contact; and Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Mr. Nimblett was Processed on the Charges and Remanded to The Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, New Jersey.
