PATERSON, NJ.- Eighteen Days of Calm across The City of Paterson came to an end as Gunfire erupted Early Yesterday Morning sending a 17-Year-Old Juvenile to an area hospital.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at approximately 12:50 a.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Park Avenue and East 24th Street on a report of Shots Fired. Upon arrival, Police Officers found evidence that a shooting had occurred, but no victim was located.
A short time later, Members of The Paterson Police Department were notified that a 17-Year-Old Juvenile had arrived by private vehicle seeking treatment for a Non-Life Threatening Gunshot Wound. The condition of the juvenile is unknown at this time.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time. More information may become available once released by Authorities.
