UPDATE: NEW JERSEY'S UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS PROGRAM, SYSTEM, OR WHATEVER IT MY BE, ONE THING IT'S NOT THERE TO HELP
" As Tens Of Thousands Deplete Their Savings Awaiting New Jersey Unemployment Benefits, Governor Murphy Takes A Long Needed Vacation, What A Joke."
August 11, 2021 By Englebrook Independent News,
TRENTON, NJ.- As Tens of Thousands Of New Jersey residents deplete their savings and face uncertainty how they might feed their families if they do not receive unemployment insurance benefits.
During Monday's Covid-19 briefing, Governor Murphy discussed the masking requirements for New Jersey's students in the upcoming school year. Murphy Executive Order EO-251 which took effect on Monday requiring students to be masked during the 2021-22 school year, a reversal that comes just under two months from when Murphy said he would not require masking in the upcoming school year, and leave it up to individual districts, he didn't waste any time in reversing his prior decision.
Further, during Monday's, while reporters asked questions about whether there may be further restriction put into place, one reporter asked if there would be potential punishments for students who did not wear masks, Murphy stated that Administration Officials would be looking into that.
As the briefing was nearing the end Murphy relayed that he would be taking a long needed vacation. Instead of going on vacation, Murphy should take control of the The New Jersey Department of Labor & Workforce Development, and fix the train wreck, or better yet since it operates like a ship without a rudder or captain, Murphy should let it sink, and start anew, we all no that will never happen.
After publishing or article on Monday, just prior to Murphy's briefing we followed up with New Jersey Unemployment Program, well you know what we discovered, absolutely nothing.
From Monday, August 9, 2021 through Wednesday, August 11, 2021 our investigative teamed called the three call center numbers, North Jersey (201) 601-4100, Central Jersey (732) 761-2020, and South Jersey, (856) 507-2340, every call we made was answered by the automated system which again stated due to the high volume please call back on the next business day. When we called after 5:00 p.m. and throughout the night, prior to 8:30 a.m. the next morning, we received the automated system that keeps telling you to go to the website, and when we had one of the individuals that we wrote about on Monday to call and check overnight the status of his claim, he was told it was pending, the claim was filed on November 1, 2020 and adjudicated on January 29, 2021, but yet nothing has been paid as of Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at 7:00 a.m.
During the two day period we made 213 phone calls, without reaching a live person, we also had an open discussion online with the virtual system, what a complete waste of taxpayer money, and an insult to one's intelligence, if you ask to many questions, after the seventh or eighth request for information it responds we do not understand.
After a lengthy review of Murphy's EO-251 and reviewing mainstream media articles, just encase we missed something, there is no mention that the schools will be supplying masks to students. Parents need to ask how much of the Federal money was actually used to upgrade school's ventilation systems, we can only imagine how many schools actually got upgraded, and if schools were, why are students being required to mask up.
When tens of thousands of families can not receive their unemployment benefits, how will they be able to afford masks for their children, when the can barely get by.
When we first started our media group, we made the commitment to report facts, supported by evidence, so we will continue to follow up on this daily. We would like to hear your stories for future reporting, you can email us at englebrookindependentnews@aol.com, we will keep all correspondence confidential and will not use any names in our future reports.
We are in the process of discussing with our Attorneys the potential of filing a Class Action proceeding against The State of New Jersey Department of Labor & Workforce Development, on behalf of all New Jersey's residents that have experienced irreparable harm. We will keep you updated, via email and reporting.
