PHILADELPHIA MAN INDICTED FOR MURDER IN CONNECTION WITH FATAL SHOOTING OF PLEASANTVILLE NEW JERSEY MAN

PLEASANTVILLE, NJ.- On Tuesday, August 10, 2021 Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Cary Shill announced that a Grand Jury sitting in Atlantic County, New Jersey has returned an Indictment against a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania man.
The indictment was returned against Teddy Smith, 40, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Charges of First Degree Murder; Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and Second Degree Unlawful Possession of A Weapon.
On May 1, 2021, at approximately 6:21 p.m., Members of The Pleasantville Police Department responded to a ShotSpotter Activation in the area of 129 North First Street in Pleasantville, New Jersey.
Upon arrival, Police Officers located Nathan Adcock, 25, of Pleasantville, New Jersey who sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Mr. Adcock was immediately transported to Atlanticare Medical Center City Division where he succumbed to his injuries and pronounced deceased. A subsequent autopsy was performed and Mr. Adcocks death was ruled a Homicide.
An ensuing investigation revealed that Smith was responsible for the death of Nathan Adcock. On Friday, November 6, 2020 was taken into custody a Parole Office in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and was subsequently charged with the offenses indicted on.
