LUMBERTON, NJ.- On Friday, July 16, 2021 Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and Lumberton Township Police Chief Nicolas Peditto announced that a Mount Holly, New Jersey woman has been charged with causing the death of a Lumberton resident, who fatally overdosed earlier this year on the Fentanyl that she sold to him.

Linda Naulty, 53, of Mount Holly, New Jersey was Charged with First Degree Strict Liability for Drug-Induced Death, Third Degree Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and Third Degree Distribution of a Controlled Dangerous Substance.

Naulty was served with the charges at The Atlantic County Justice Facility in Mays Landing, New Jersey, where she is being held. Naulty was lodged in the facility in February her arrest and being charged with multiple narcotics offense in connection with the same case.

The investigation began on February 8, 2021, after Members of The Lumberton Police Department and Emergency Medical Personnel responded to The 500 Block of Main Street, for a report of an unresponsive adult male. Upon arrival Officers and Medical Personnel discovered the body of Paul Cronrath IV, 29, deceased in his bedroom from a Fatal Drug Overdose.

Within a few hours, the ensuing investigation determined that Naulty was the source of the narcotics. When taken into custody, Naulty had in her possession multiple doses of fentanyl and nearly $1,400 in cash.

The charges were upgraded after results of toxicology tests confirmed that the drugs discovered in Cronrath's bedroom were identical to the ones found in Naulty's possession at the time of her arrest.

Since 2017, there have been 27 defendants charged in Burlington County with Strict Liability for Drug-Induced Death. Ten have been Convicted or have Pled Guilty, another Five have been Indicted. The remaining cases are awaiting presentation to a Grand Jury.

" The Rules Of The Court Require Us To Include A Statement, Which States: The Charges Are Merely Accusations And The Defendant And Or Defendants Are Presumed Innocent Unless And Until Proven Guilty Beyond Reasonable Doubt."
