Arrest Made In Camden County Bank Robberies

A PENNSYLVANIA MAN HAS BEEN ARRESTED IN CONNECTION WITH A STRING OF BANK ROBBERIES IN CAMDEN AND BURLINGTON COUNTIES

     " Chris Leblanc, 47, Of Norristown, Pennsylvania Has Been Charged With Bank Robbery After He Fled A Bank In Burlington County, New Jersey."

CAMDEN, NJ.- On Friday, July 23, 2021 Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer, Acting Runnemede Police Chief William, and Winslow Township Police Chief George Smith announced an arrest this week in connection with two Bank Robberies that occurred in Camden County on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 and Friday, July 16, 2021.


     Chris Leblanc, 47, of Norristown, Pennsylvania was arrested Thursday, July 22, 2021 after he fled a Bank Robbery at a bank on Route 70 in Medford, New Jersey, after Leblanc's arrest he was linked to last week's Bank Robberies in Camden County, New Jersey.


     On Tuesday, July 13, 2021, Chris Leblanc allegedly entered the Acme Supermarket, located at 501 Evesham Road in Runnemede, New Jersey. Leblanc went directly to the Citizens Bank located inside the supermarket, and passed a note to the teller. In the note, Leblanc demanded cash in specific denominations and threatened to shoot the teller, if she did not comply. Leblanc then fled the store with an undisclosed amount of currency.


     On Friday, July 16, 2021, Chris Leblanc allegedly entered the Shoprite Supermarket located at 542 Berlin Cross Keys Road in Winslow Township, New Jersey. Leblanc placed some items in a shopping basket and then approached a teller at the PNC Bank, which was located inside the supermarket. Leblanc presented the teller with a note that was similar to the one Leblanc presented during the July 13th Robbery in Runnemede. In the note, Leblanc demanded cash from the teller in certain denominations and threatened to shoot him, if he did not comply. Leblanc then fled the store with an undisclosed amount of currency.


     As a result of a thorough investigation, Detectives were able to determine that Leblanc was the suspect captured on surveillance video inside of the establishments.


     Leblanc has been lodged in The Burlington County Jail in Mount Holly, New Jersey pending a Detention Hearing , scheduled next week in State Superior Court.


" The Rules Of The Court Require Us To Include A Statement, Which States: The Charges Are Merely Accusations And The Defendant And Or Defendants Are Presumed Innocent Unless And Until Proven Guilty Beyond Reasonable Doubt."
