Two Paterson Men, Were Struck By Gunfire Sunday Afternoon In Paterson, New Jersey

PATERSON, NJ.- Two Paterson, New Jersey men arrived late yesterday afternoon at Saint Joseph's University Medical Center after being struck by gunfire in the first of three shootings as gun violence spirals out of control Sunday in Paterson, New Jersey.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Sunday, June 2, 2024, just shortly before 5:00 p.m., members of the Paterson Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting an assault in the area of Main and Chadwick Streets in the City of Paterson.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a victim of an assault and also found evidence of a shooting. The victim was transported to Saint Joseph's University Hospital for treatment.
While at the Medical Center, Police Offices were notified that two men, a 45-year-old Paterson, New Jersey man, and a 28-year-old Paterson, New Jersey man had just arrived seeking treatment for non-life threatening gunshot wounds, The medical condition of the assault and shooting victims was unknown at this time.
Detectives from the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office and the Paterson Police Department quickly determined that all three individuals were injured at the Main and Chadwick Street locations.
