Pleasantville Domestic Dispute Ends With Woman Shot Multiple Times & A Man Turning The Gun & Killing Himself

PLEASANTVILLE, NJ.- Atlantic County Authorities are continuing the investigate the circumstances surrounding an early Sunday morning domestic dispute that turned violent when a 38-year-old Pleasantville, New Jersey man shot a 26-year-old woman multiple times before turning the gun on himself and taking his own life.
According to Atlantic County Prosecutor William E. Reynolds, on Sunday, June 23, 2024, just shortly after 4:00 a.m., members of the Pleasantville Police Department responded to 27 South 3rd Street in Pleasantville following receiving a report of a domestic violence incident.
Upon arrival, Police Officers attempted to make contact with the residents of the home. Within minutes of trying to make contact Police Officers heard several gunshots from inside the home. As Police Officers tried to make a forced entry into the home, Tyra Pagan, 26, of Pleasantville, New Jersey exited the home having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Ms. Pagan was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for treatment and still remains hospitalized.
Moments later, Kevin Hare, 38, of Pleasantville, New Jersey shot and killed himself. Hare was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene. The official cause and manner of death are pending the results of the Southern Regional Medical Examiner's Office.
