Rep Jamal Bowman's Antisemitic Profanity-Laced Hate-Fueled Get-Out-The-Vote Rally, This Is Today's Democrats

MOTT HAVEN, NY.- Now I know why I gave up my support for the Democratic Party and switched my party affiliation. On Saturday I had the opportunity to travel to St. Mary's Park in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx for a get-out-the-vote rally hosted by Progressive Squad member Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) along with Senator Bernie Sanders (D-VT.) in support of fellow Squad Member Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) who is down by 17 points for tomorrow's Democratic Primary.
After watching Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez dance around and rant on stage, a crowd of a few hundred supporters got to hear Bowman's antisemitic and profanity-laced, and hate-fueled speech.
Bowman, who is being challenged by Westchester County Executive George Latimer in tomorrow's Democratic primary for New York's 16th Congressional District. As of two weeks ago, Bowman is trailing Latimer by 17 points.
During the speech, Bowman screamed profanity and lashed out against the American Israel Public Affairs Committee Action, Political Action Committee (AIPAC), the pro-Israel advocacy group supporting his challenger Latimer.
"We are going to show f---ing AIPAC, the power of the motherf---ing South Bronx," Bowman ranted. "People ask me why I got a foul mouth. What am I supposed to do? You're coming after me! You're coming after my family! You're coming after my children! I'm not supposed to fight back. We're going to show them who the f--- we are, as he jumped around the stage, and at one point held up a bar stool in an inciting manner. Bowman even went as far as calling out Latimer in supporting genocide, which is unfounded.
Following Bowman's speech Rep. Ritchie Torres, (D-NY), slammed Bowman profanity as "unhinged."
"The level of profanity here is so shocking as to be unbecoming of a Member of Congress," Torres, who left the Congressional Progressive Caucus earlier this year over differences with the Israel-Hamas war, wrote on X. "There's is nothing in Jamaal Bowman's unhinged tirade that remotely resembles the decency of the people I know and represent the South Bronx.
Back in November, Bowman called the videos of the murder of innocent Israeli Women and children and the reprehensible sexual violence against women by Hamas militants Israeli "propaganda" and "lies," but since then apologized for his comments.
After standing in the crowd on Saturday and listening to Bowman's hateful rhetoric, one thing that came back to me, is what my late grandmother always told me, "You Reap What You Sow." I guess she was right as Bowman is fighting for his political life. Maybe tomorrow's Democratic primary will show that constituents may be finally getting tired of their elected officials only promoting their self-interests and not representing them.
We will have to see what tomorrow brings. This might be the start of voting out the progressive wing of Congress and regaining some resemblance to the way America once governed.
