Atlantic County Authorities Are Continuing To Investigate The Death Of A 29-Year-Old Woman

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ.- Atlantic County Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a 29-year-old Atlantic City, New Jersey woman who was found deceased last Wednesday, inside an Atlantic City apartment.
According to Atlantic County Prosecutor William E. Reynolds, on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, just shortly after 10:00 a.m., members of the Atlantic City Police Department responded to 3 South Raleigh Avenue 2nd Floor Apartment following receiving a request for a welfare check.
Upon arrival, Police Officers made entry into the apartment and found Janessa L Morgan, 29, unresponsive with no pulse. Ms. Morgan was subsequently pronounced deceased inside the residence.
The cause and the manner of death are pending an autopsy by the Southern Regional Medical Examiner's Office.
Ms. Morgan's death is actively being investigated by Detectives of the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit and the Atlantic City Police Department.
