Three People Were Hospitalized After Being Struck By Gunfire Early This Morning In Paterson, New Jersey

PATERSON, NJ.- With the start of the 2024 Memorial Day Weekend, city residents brace as gun violence also gets underway in the City of Paterson after three people were hospitalized after being struck by gunfire early Saturday morning on a Paterson, New Jersey street.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes reported, on Saturday, May 25, 2024, shortly before 2:00 a.m., members of the Paterson Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting multiple shots being fired in the area of East 30th Street and 18th Avenue in the City of Paterson.
Upon arrival, Police Officers were able to locate evidence of a shooting at that location but were unable to locate any victims.
Within minutes of Police Officers arriving, the Paterson Police Department was notified that a 35-year-old Paterson, New Jersey man, and a 25-year-old Saint Albans, New York man had arrived at Saint Joseph's University Medical Center both seeking treatment for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
Shortly thereafter, a third victim, a 31-year-old New York man also arrived at Saint Joseph's University Medical Center seeking treatment for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
Based on the initial investigation, after interviewing the victims, and evidence that was recovered, Police Officers determined that all three were shot in the area of East 30th Street and 18th Avenue in the City of Paterson.
