According to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay, on Monday, May 13, 2024, shortly after 9:30 p.m., members of the Lawnside Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a serious motor vehicle crash near the intersection of White Horse Pike and Gloucester Avenue in Lawnside.
Upon arrival, Police Officers located a two-vehicle crash. One vehicle being operated by Anwar Parham, 29, of North Wales, Pennsylvania, collided with the second vehicle being operated by Theresa Karbach, 69, of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, and a 69-year-old Pine Hill, New Jersey woman who was her passenger. Both women had to be extricated from the vehicle by members of the Lawnside Volunteer Fire Department.

Ms. Karbach's passenger still remains in the hospital where she continues to recover from injuries. Mr. Parham was treated and later released.
An investigation by members of the Camden County Prosecutor's Office and the Lawnside Police Department determined that Parham was driving on a suspended driver's license and driving at a high rate of speed when the collision occurred.
