65-Year-Old East Hanover Man Charged Late Last Month With The Multiple Sexual Assaults Of A Child

EAST HANOVER, NJ.- Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll reported, that following an investigation that remains ongoing, Gerardo Patrizio, 65, of East Hanover, New Jersey, will remain detained pending trial, after being taken into custody last month and charged with multiple sex crimes involving a child.
According to the Prosecutor's Office, it has been alleged that between March 1, 2022, and March 1, 2024, Patrizio performed multiple sexual acts with a child.
As a result of the ongoing investigation, Patrizio was taken into custody and formally charged with three counts of first-degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; three counts of second-degree Sexual Assault; and one count of second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Following a detention hearing in Morris County Superior Court, a Morris County Judge ordered Patrizio detained in the Morris County Correctional Facility pending the resolution of the charges filed against him.
