Atlantic County Authorities Investigating The Death Of 42-Year-Old Man Found Dead Yesterday Afternoon

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, NJ.- Atlantic County Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a 42-year-old man whose body was found yesterday afternoon inside a South Odessa Avenue residence in Galloway Township, New Jersey.

     According to Atlantic County Prosecutor William A Reynolds, on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, shortly before 3:00 p.m., members of the Galloway Township Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a man had been found deceased inside a residence located on the 400 Block of South Odessa Avenue in the Township.

      Upon arrival, Police Officers found Shawn P. O'Neill, Jr., 42, of Galloway Township, New Jersey, deceased inside the residence with multiple wounds to his body.

     The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit is actively investigating the death of Mr. O'Neill, Jr. The cause and the manner of death are pending the results of an autopsy by the Regional Medical Examiner's Office.
