WILDWOOD, NJ.- In Mid-March Following an Investigation into Narcotics Distribution in The Wildwood, New Jersey area Cape May County and Federal Authorities Dealt a Major Blow into The Street Level Heroin and Fentanyl Distribution, leading to One Arrest, and The Seizure of 1000 Bags of Fentanyl and Xylazine Laced Heroin, and over $5000. in Cash.
On March 15, 2024, at the Conclusion of an Investigation by Members of The Cape May County Prosecutor's Office Gangs, Guns, and Narcotics Task Force with the assistance of The Department of Homeland Security Investigations, The Wildwood Police Department, and The Middle Township Police Department Arrested and Charged Christian Ramos, 29, of Wildwood, New Jersey on Multiple Narcotics and Money Laundering Offenses.
On the date of the Arrest, Local, County, and Federal Authorities Simultaneously Executed Court Authorized Search Warrants on Christian Ramos, his Motor Vehicle, and Multiple Locations throughout Wildwood and Middle Township, New Jersey.
As a result of The Search Warrants, Detectives Seized approximately 1000 Bags of Suspected Heroin, Packaged in Street Level Doses, and $5,450. in U.S. Currency consistent with Narcotics Sales.
The suspected Heroin Seized during the investigation was Analyzed by The Cape May County Forensic Laboratory, revealed, and Tested Positive for Fentanyl and Xylazine. The Combination of these Two Chemical Substances increases the Effects of The Heroin and makes it less receptive to Narcan. Further, the Combination will cause the Skin of The User to Die, leading to potential amputations.
Accordingly, on March 15, 2024, Christian Ramos was Formally Charged with One Count of Second Degree Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance; Third Degree Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance; Third Degree Money Laundering; and Fourth Degree Distribution of Drug Paraphernalia.
Mr. Ramos was Processed on The Charges and was Remanded to The Cape May County Correctional Facility. Following a Detention Hearing a Cape May County Superior Court Judge Ordered Ramos Detained pending Future Court Proceedings and Trial in Cape May County Superior Court.
