Vineland, New Jersey Man Sentenced To Prison For 2023 Amber Alert Incident

VINELAND, NJ.- Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae reported, that on Monday, March 4, 2024, The Honorable Cristen P. Darrigo, J.S.C., Sentenced Ramon Rivera, 23, of Vineland, New Jersey, to a Term of Five Years in New Jersey State Prison for The Charge of Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. 



     Rivera was also Sentenced to a Consecutive Term of 364 Days for Contempt of Court. Rivera Pleaded Guilty on January 5, 2024, to the Two Charges.


     The Charges stem from an investigation that began on January 5, 2023, when an Amber Alert was Issued after Rivera Fled with his 7-Month-Old Daughter Emerie Rivera Black from The City of Vineland. Rivera was Taken into Custody the following morning in Logan Township with the assistance of The United States Marshals Service and The New Jersey State Police Missing Persons Unit. The Baby was also found safe. 


     Rivera's Contempt Charge was regarding his Violation of a No Contact Order relating to the case.
