THREE MEN WERE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY FOR THE NOVEMBER 2023 SHOOTING DEATH OF LEROY TUTT

TRENTON, NJ.- Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri reported on Friday that following an investigation, Three Mercer County, New Jersey men were Taken into Custody and Charged in connection with The November 24, 2023, Brazen Shooting Death of Leroy Tutt, of Trenton, New Jersey.
According to Authorities, Jerrod Baldwin, 41, of Ewing, New Jersey, and Kellen Dingman, 41, of Ewing, New Jersey, were both Charged with First Degree Murder; First Degree Conspiracy to Commit Murder; Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. Eric Bell, 44, of Trenton, New Jersey, was Charged with First Degree Conspiracy to Commit Murder; and Third Degree Hindering Apprehension.
All Three Men were Taken into Custody earlier last week at different locations by Members of The United States Marshals Service and The Mercer County Tactical Response Team. The Three Men were Processed on The Charges and were Remanded to The Mercer County Correction Center pending Future Court Proceedings in Mercer County Superior Court.
The Charges stem from an investigation that began on Friday, November 24, 2024, at around 6:30 p.m., Members of The Trenton Police Department responded to a ShotSpotter Activation on The First Block of Oliver Avenue in The City of Trenton.
Upon arrival, Police Officers located a man, later identified as Leroy Tutt, 37, of Trenton, New Jersey, on The Sidewalk suffering from Multiple Gunshot Wounds. Mr. Tutt was lying beside a Burgundy Chrysler Sebring with the trunk opened. Officers found Numerous Shell Casings inside of the Truck. Mr. Tutt was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
