Millville Man Pleads Guilty In 2018 Shooting Death

TODAY A 33-YEAR-OLD MILLVILLE MAN PLEADED GUILTY TO THE 2018 SHOOTING DEATH OF A MAN

     "Leon Green Pleaded Guilty This Morning To Aggravated Manslaughter For The Fatal Shooting Of Yusef Abdullah Inside The Fox Manor Hotel."

MAYS LANDING, NJ.- Atlantic County Prosecutor William E. Reynolds reported, that during a brief hearing this morning in Atlantic County Superior Court, Leon Green, 33, of Millville, New Jersey Pleaded Guilty to Aggravated Manslaughter in connection with The Shooting Death of Yusef Abdullah, 22, of Atlantic City, New Jersey.



     In return for The Guilty Plea, The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office will require Green to be Sentenced to 30 Years in New Jersey State Prison. The Sentence will be subject to The No Early Release Act which will require Green to Serve Eighty-Five Percent of his Custodial Term before becoming eligible for Parole. Sentencing in the matter has been tentatively Scheduled for May 2, 2024.


     The Guilty Plea stems from an incident, when on June 1, 2018, Green entered The Fox Manor in Atlantic City Armed with a Loaded Handgun, at which time he Fired into a Crowded Lobby. Mr. Abdullah, who was not the Intended Target was Struck by Gunfire and Died Weeks Later in The Hospital.
