66-YEAR-OLD MAN CHARGED WITH POSSESSION AND DISTRIBUTION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY

TEANECK, NJ.- A 66-Year-Old Teaneck, New Jersey man who was Returned to New Jersey State Prison in November 2023 for Violating his Parole for engaging in Child Pornography over The Internet was Additionally Charged on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, with The Possession and Distribution of Child Pornography.
According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, Officers of The New Jersey State Parole Department notified Detectives of The Bergen County Prosecutors Office regarding a Parolee who had Violated the Terms of his Release and was believed to be in Possession of Child Pornography. The Parolee, Leonard Liebmann, 66, of Teaneck, New Jersey was arrested the same day by Parole Officers at Teaneck Residence.
An investigation was launched. Detectives of The Bergen County Cyber Crimes Unit searched Mr. Liebmann's Electronic Devices and uncovered that Liebmann used The Internet to View, Download, and Possess Digital Images depicting Nude and Sexually Explicit Prepubescent and Pubescent Children. The investigation further uncovered that Liebmann also Shared those Digital Images over The Internet.
Accordingly, on March 12, 2024, Mr. Liebmann was Formally Charged with Second Degree Possession of Child Pornography; and Second Degree Distribution of Child Pornography. Liebmann was Served with The Complaint Warrant at Southwoods State Prison.
