Man Convicted Of Murder In Beverly City, New Jersey Homicide

29-YEAR-OLD MAM CONVICTED ON CHARGES IN THE JUNE 2022 HOMICIDE AND POLICE STANDOFF

     "On Friday Larry Brown Was Found Guilty Of Murder For The Beating Death Cecilio Luciano In June Of 2022."

MOUNT HOLLY, NJ.- On Friday, March 15, 2024, a Jury sitting in Burlington County, New Jersey Convicted a 29-Year-Old Burlington Township, New Jersey man for The June 2022 Beating Death of a Beverly City man which led to a Seven Hour Standoff before Surrendering to Authorities.



     According to Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw, on Friday, March 15, 2024, after deliberating for Several Hours over Three Days, a Burlington County Jury found Larry Brown, 29, Guilty on The Charges of First Degree Murder; Multiple Counts of First Degree Kidnapping; Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Handgun; Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child; Third Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; Third Degree Certain Persons Not to Possess Weapons; Third Degree Making Terroristic Threats; and Fourth Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.


     Sentencing in the matter has been Scheduled for May 10, 2024, in Burlington County Superior Court at which time Mr. Brown will Face a Potential of Life in New Jersey State Prison.


     The Conviction stems from an investigation that began on June 4, 2022, when at 1:15 a.m., The Beverly City Police Department received a report that Mr. Brown had Taken the Life of Cecilio Luciano, 34, of Highland Park, New Jersey.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered that Brown was still inside The Bently Avenue Residence, along with a Woman and Four Children. When Brown refused to come out, Crisis Negotiators from The New Jersey State Police were called, and The Woman and Four Children emerged unharmed over the next several hours. Brown who primarily resided with a relative in Burlington Township surrendered to Authorities at 8:30 a.m.


     The New Jersey State Police TEAMS Unit entered the Home and Discovered the Body of Mr. Luciano. A Subsequent Autopsy performed by The Burlington County Medical Examiner's Office determined that Mr. Luciano had been Bludgeoned to Death and The Murder Weapon was a Baseball Bat.
