Harrison, New York Man Charged In Saturday Morning Paramus Car Crash

56-YEAR-OLD NEW YORK MAN CHARGED IN CONNECTION WITH AN EARLY SATURDAY HEAD-ON CRASH

     "Whigmer J. Villanueva Has Been Charged With Multiple Counts Of Assault By Auto In Connection To A Saturday Crash That Left 5 People Injured."

PARAMUS, NJ.- A 56-Year-Old Harrison, New York Man has been Charged in connection with an Early Saturday Morning Two-Car Crash that occurred on Route 4 in Paramus, New Jersey which left Five People Hospitalized from various injuries.



     According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, on Saturday, March 23, 2024, shortly before 2:30 a.m., Members of The Paramus Police Department responded to a report of a Car Crash on Route 4 West near the Paramus Road Intersection. Upon arrival, Police Officers located a Two-Vehicle Crash.


     The Subsequent Investigation of The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Fatal Accident Investigation Unit and The Paramus Police Department determined that a 2008 Toyota operated by Whigmer J. Villanueva, 56, of Harrison, New York was Traveling in Eastbound in The Westbound Lanes of Route 4 when he Collided Head-On with another Vehicle. 


     As a result of The Crash, Five People were transported to area Hospitals for treatment for various injuries, and One Person was Seriously Injured. 


     Following the conclusion of The Investigation, Mr. Villanueva was Formally Charged with Third Degree Assault by Auto; and Four Counts of Fourth Degree Assault by Auto, along with Multiple Motor Vehicle Summonses. Villanueva was Served with a Complaint Summon on The Assault by Auto Charges and has been Scheduled for his First Appearance in Bergen County Central Judicial Processing Court on April 12, 2024.
