Hackensack, New Jersey Man Charged With Child Pornography

HACKENSACK, NJ.- Following an investigation, a 38-Year-Old Hackensack, New Jersey man was Taken into Custody yesterday and Formally Charged with Third Degree Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material.


     According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, on Thursday, March 21, 2024, Members of The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Cyber Crimes Unit Executed a Court Authorized Search Warrant at The Residence of Michael Sapuppo, 38, of Hackensack, New Jersey, at the conclusion of an Internet Child Sexual Abuse Material Investigation. 


     During the investigation, Detectives determined that Mr. Sapuppo accessed the Internet to View, Download, and Possess Digital Images depicting Nude and Sexually Explicit Prepubescent and Pubescent Children.


     Accordingly, Mr. Sapuppo was Formally Charged at The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office with One Count of Third Degree Possession of Child Pornography. Sapuppo was Processed on The Charges and was Remanded to The Bergen County Jail pending Future Court Proceedings in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.


"The Rules Of The Court Requires Us To Include A Statement, That States: The Charges Outlined In This Publication Are Merely Accusations And The Defendant And Or Defendants Are Presumed Innocent Unless And Until Proven Guilty Beyond Reasonable Doubt."
