Cresskill Man Charged Federally In Franklin Lakes PNC Bank Robbery

46-YEAR-OLD CRESSKILL MAN WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY AND CHARGED FOR NOVEMBER 2023 BANK ROBBERY

     "Tony Winst Was Arrested On Saturday By Federal Authorities In Connection With The November Franklin Lakes PNC Bank Robbery."

FRANKLIN LAKES, NJ.- Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll reported, on Saturday, March 9, 2024, a 46-Year-Old Cresskill, New Jersey man was Taken into Custody and Charged Federally in connection with The November 17, 2023 PNC Bank Robbery in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey.

     On November 17, 2023, shortly around 11:15 a.m., Members of The Franklin Lakes Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a Bank Robbery in Progress at The PNC Bank located at 425 Boulevard in Franklin Lakes Borough.

     Upon arrival, Police Officers learned that a Male Suspect had entered The Bank and Demanded Money. The Suspect displayed no weapon or threatened any Bank Employees. The Suspect Fled the Bank with approximately $1,000., in U.S. Currency.

     Morris County Law Enforcement worked with Federal Authorities to identify the suspect as Tony Winst, 46, of Cresskill, New Jersey. Authorities were able to locate Mr. Winst and on Saturday, March 9, 2024, Winst was Taken into Custody by Federal Authorities in New York City. Winst was Processed on Bank Robbery Charges and is currently in Federal Custody and The Charges will be Prosecuted in The Federal Court System.
