23-YEAR-OLD NEW BRUNSWICK MAN KILLED AND ONE INJURED IN LAST NIGHT'S SHOOTING

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ.- A 23-Year-Old New Brunswick, New Jersey man was Struck and Killed by Gunfire, and another man remains Hospitalized in Critical Condition as Gunfire Erupted Tuesday Night on a New Brunswick, New Jersey Street.
According to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone, on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, shortly before 7:00 p.m., Members of The New Brunswick Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a Shooting in the area of Delavan Street and Throop Avenue in New Brunswick.
Upon arrival, Police Officers located Two men who had been Struck by Gunfire. Both men were immediately transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for treatment of Multiple Gunshot Wounds. One of the men, Numi Simmons, 23, of New Brunswick succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. The other man remains Hospitalized and has been listed in Critical Condition.
During the initial investigation, Detectives determined that this was a Targeted Shooting and there was no danger to the public.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Authorities continue their search for the Gunman.
