Blackwood, New Jersey Man Charged In Beating Death Of Mother

BLACKWOOD MAN CHARGED IN SATURDAY MORNING BEATING DEATH OF HIS MOTHER

     "Camden County Authorities Are Continuing Their Investigation Into The Beating Death Of A 65-Year-Old Gloucester Township Mother."

BLACKWOOD, NJ.- An apparent Domestic Violence Incident has led to a Blackwood, New Jersey man being Taken into Custody and Formally Charged in connection with Saturday Morning's Beating Death of his 65-Year-Old Mother.

     According to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Gloucester Township Police Chief David Harkins, on Saturday, March 2, 2024, shortly before 10:30 a.m., Members of The Gloucester Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call on The 100 Block of Fairmount Avenue in The Blackwood Section of The Township reporting a Deceased Woman.

     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a woman, later identified as Lillian Doran, 65, of Blackwood, deceased from apparent Blunt Force Trauma to her Head. Ms. Doran was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.

     The initial investigation by Camden County Authorities determined that The Man was responsible for The Death of his Mother, due to the nature of the New Jersey Domestic Violence Laws, the Man's Name and Age were not released.
