Paterson Man Charged For Sexually Assaulting Bergen County Teen

ELMWOOD PARK, NJ.- Following an investigation, on Friday, March 1, 2024, a 21-Year-Old Paterson, New Jersey man was Taken into Custody and Charged in connection with the past Sexual Assaults of an Elmwood Park Teenage Girl.

     According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, on Thursday, February 15, 2024, The Elmwood Police Department contacted The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit regarding the Alleged Sexual Assault of a Teenage Elmwood Park Girl, the Alleged Sexual Assaults had occurred in the past.

     An investigation was launched. After interviewing Witnesses including The Child Victim, Detectives determined that Jaden Vargas, 21, of Paterson, New Jersey, Sexually Assaulted the Girl who was between the Age of Thirteen and Sixteen on Multiple Occasions in Elmwood Park, New Jersey.

     On Friday, March 1, 2024, was Arrested in Elmwood Park, New Jersey, and was Formally Charged with Three Counts of Second Degree Sexual Assault; and One Count of Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Mr. Vargas was Processed on The Charges and was Remanded to The Bergen County Jail pending Future Court Proceedings in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.
