NORTHVALE, NJ.- A 60-Year-Old Piermont, New York man was Taken into Custody on Monday and Charged with The Alleged Sexual Assault of a Child under the Age of Thirteen in Northvale, New Jersey.
According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, on Monday, February 26, 2024, The Northvale Police Department contacted The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office in reference to a report they received regarding the Alleged Sexual Assault of a Juvenile that had occurred in the past.
A Swift-Moving Investigation by Members of The Bergen County Special Victims Unit and The Northvale Police Department quickly determined that John Mark Dillon, 60, of Piermont, New York, had Sexually Assaulted a Child who was Under the Age of Thirteen in Northvale, New Jersey, on at least Two Occasions.
Accordingly, on Monday, February 26, 2024, Mr. Dillon was Taken into Custody in Orangeburg, New York, by Detectives of The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office and Formally Charged with Two Counts of First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault.
Dillon was Processed on The Charges and lodged in The Rockland County Jail, pending Extradition back to Bergen County, New Jersey. If Convicted on The Charges, Mr. Dillon could Face a New Jersey State Prison Term of 25 Years to Life.
