Moorestown, New Jersey Tennis Coach Charged With Sending Obscene Pictures Of Himself To A Minor Girl

60-YEAR-OLD MOORESTOWN MAN HAS BEEN ARRESTED FOR SENDING NAKED PICTURES OF HIMSELF TO A TEEN GIRL

     "Ovidiu V. Dragos Was Charged Today With Child Endangerment, Promoting Obscene Material To A Minor, Stalking On A 15-Year-Old Girl."

MOORESTOWN, NJ.- Today, a 60-Year-Old Moorestown, New Jersey man, who is a Co-Coach for Boys and Girls Tennis at Moorestown High School and at Cherry Hill Health and Club was Taken into Custody and Charged with Promoting Obscene Material to a Minor, Endanger the Welfare of a Child, and Multiple Other Offenses, following an investigation involving a 15-Year-Old Girl.



     According to Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw and Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay, Ovidio V. Dragos, 60, of Moorestown, New Jersey was Formally Charged with One Count of Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child; One Count of Third Degree Promoting Obscene Material to a Person Under 18-Years-Old; One Count of Fourth Degree Stalking; and One Count of Fourth Degree Harassment. 


     During the investigation, Detectives uncovered that Dragos showed Naked Photographs of Himself to a 15-Year-Old Girl on his Cellular Phone on Two Separate Occasions, while attending Group Tennis Lessons at The Cherry Hill Health and Racquet Club in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. 


     Dragos also Placed Numerous Letters, Cards, Poems, and Gifts in The Girl's Tennis Bag over a Two-Year Period, while providing Private and Group Tennis Lessons to the Child at Outdoor Tennis Courts in Cinnaminson, Moorestown, and Cherry Hill, New Jersey.


     Dragos was Arrested on Monday, February 26, 2024, by The United States Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force in Moorestown, New Jersey. Dragos was Processed on The Charges and was remanded to The Camden County Correctional Facility pending Future Court Proceedings in Camden County and Burlington County Superior Courts.
