BREAKING NEWS: Matawan, New Jersey Man Charged With Sex Crimes

MATAWAN, NJ.- A 57-Year-Old Monmouth County, New Jersey Acupuncture Doctor remains Jailed after being Taken into Custody on Thursday, February 1, 2024, and was Charged with Allegedly Sexually Assaulting a Female Patient at a Matawan Health Center, late last month.



     According to Monmouth Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago, Doctor Jeng K. Kuan, 57, of Matawan, New Jersey was Formally Charged on Thursday with One Count of Second Degree Sexual Assault; and One Count of Fourth Degree Criminal Sexual Contact.


     On Thursday, January 25, 2024, The Matawan Police Department received a report in reference to The Sexual Assault of a Female Patient who recently had an appointment with Dr. Kuan, The Clinical Director at The Prosperity Health Center, which is located on Route 34 in Matawan, New Jersey.


     Following a Swift-Moving Investigation by Members of The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Bureau and Members of The Matawan Police Department were able to determine that Dr. Kuan Sexually Assaulted the Female Patient. On Thursday, February 1, 2024, Dr. Kuan was Taken into Custody and Formally Charged. After being Processed on The Charges, Dr. Kuan was Remanded to The Monmouth County Correctional Institution, Pending his Frist Appaearance in Monmouth County Superior Court which has been Scheduled for Wednesday, February 7, 2024.


     Monmouth County Authorities are also seeking additional information about Dr. Kuan's Activities.
