BREAKING: Waldwick, New Jersey Man Charged With Child Pornography

27-YEAR-OLD WALDWICK MAN ARRESTED IN CONNECTICUT ON CHARGES OUT OF BERGEN COUNTY

     "George M. Silebi Was Taken Into Custody In Norwalk, Connecticut & Charged With Possession Of Child Pornography."

WALDWICK, NJ.- A 27-Year-Old Waldwick, New Jersey man was Taken into Custody on Thursday, January 11, 2024, in Norwalk, Connecticut on a Child Pornography Offense out of Bergen County, New Jersey.

     According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, on Thursday, January 11, 2024, Members of The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Cyber Crimes Unit Executed a Court Authorized Search Warrant at the residence of George Silebi, 27, of Waldwick, New Jersey, during an Internet Child Sexual Abuse Material investigation. The investigation determined that Mr. Silebi was using The Internet to View, Download, and Possess Digital Items depicting Nude and or Sexually Explicit Prepubescent and Pubescent Children.

     Members of The Bergen County Cyber Crimes Unit traveled to Norwalk, Connecticut where with the assistance of The Connecticut State Police and The Norwalk Police Department took Mr. Silebi into Custody on Thursday, January 11, 2024, and Processed him on a Charge of Third Degree Possession of Child Pornography. After being processed on The Charge Silebi was released on Bail.

     After returning to New Jersey, on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, Mr. Silebi surrendered to Bergen County Authorities and was remanded to The Bergen County Jail pending Future Court Proceedings in Bergen County Superior Court.
