BREAKING: Toms River, New Jersey Businessman Pleads Guilty To Arson

     "Harcourt "Paul" Ward Will Face 3-Years In State Prison For Causing Over $1 Million In Damages."

FREEHOLD, NJ.- On Friday, January 19, 2024, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago reported, that on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, a 70-Year-Old Toms River, New Jersey man Pleaded Guilty to Burning a Group of Commercial Vehicles belonging to a Local Wall Township, New Jersey Business back in September 2022.


     On January 2, 2024, during a Court Hearing in Monmouth County Superior Court, Harcourt "Paul" Ward, 70, of Toms River Pleaded Guilty to One Count Third Degree Arson. In return for The Plea, The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office will recommend that Mr. Ward be Sentenced to a Term of 3-Years in New Jersey State Prison.


     The Guilty Plea stems from an incident, when on September 26, 2022, just shortly after 10:00 p.m., Members of The Wall Township Police Department responded to The 1900 Block of Atlantic Avenue in Wall Township. Upon arrival, Police Officers and The Monmouth County Fire Marshal's Office found Six Commercial Vehicles engulfed in Flames.


     A subsequent investigation by Monmouth County Authorities determined that Mr. Ward of Ward Realty and Insurance in Point Pleasant, New Jersey was the individual responsible for Purposely Setting The Vehicles on Fire. The estimated cost of The Damage caused by The Fire was over $1 Million.
