UNION, NJ.- Last night, Union County Authorities confirmed that The Four Individuals found Dead Wednesday Morning inside their Union, New Jersey home, and that their Deaths were the result of a Murder- Suicide.
As Family, Friends, and Neighbors mourn the loss of a Mother, Father, and Two Young Girls, they turn to each other for answers as to why a 42-Year-Old Mother of Two would Fatally Shoot her 51-Year-Old Husband and her Two Daughters before turning the Gun on Herself and Taking her own Life.
Wednesday's Murder, Suicide marks the Third such incident in less than a year that has left Three Families marred by such violence. Just as in the past Murder-Suicides, Family, Friends, and Neighbors Struggle to understand why and how the Fabric that binds a Family together becomes so fractured that it would cause a Mother to Kill her Husband and Two Daughters before taking her own life inside their home in a quiet Union, New Jersey Neighborhood.
Although many details have not been released or are still unknown, Last Night, Union County Prosecutor William A Daniel reported that on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at around 10:30 a.m., Members of The Union County Sheriff's arrived at 1329 Lincrest Terrace in Union. Upon entering the home, Officers discovered Two Adults, a Man and a Woman, and Two Juvenile Girls, all having sustained Fatal Gunshot Wounds. The Four were Identified as, Ruben Alarcon, 51, Andrea Alarcon, 42, and their Two Juvenile Daughters, whose names and ages have not been revealed at this time.
A Joint investigation by Investigators of The Union County Prosecutor's Office Homicide Task Force and Detectives of The Union Police Department determined that Andrea Alarcon Fattaly Shot her Husband and Two Daughters before Fatally Shooting Herself. The Murder Weapon was found near Mrs. Alarcon's Body when the Police arrived.
"In tragedies of this magnitude, there are no words that can heal, nor explanations can serve to make sense of them to the public. Our thoughts go out to the family and friends of these victims and to the Union community as a whole in the wake of this horrible event," said Prosecutor Daniel.
