BREAKING: Two Plainfield, New Jersey Men Sentenced To State Prison

TWO PLAINFIELD MEN WILL SPEND THE NEXT SIX AND A HALF DECADES IN PRISON FOR A 2021 SHOOTING HOMICIDE

     "Jahaad Ingram & Zaire Wallace Were Each Sentenced On Friday To 78 Years In State Prison & Each Will Be Required To Serve 85 Percent Of Term."

ELIZABETH, NJ.- On Friday, January 12, 2024, a Union County Superior Court Judge Sentenced a 23-Year-Old Plainfield, New Jersey man, and a 30-Year-Old Plainfield, New Jersey man each to a Lengthy State Prison Term, requiring both men to basically spend the Rest of Their Natural Life in Prison, for The 2021 Senseless Shooting Death of a Woman and for The Shooting of a man, that has left him Paralyzed for Life.


     According to Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel, On October 31, 2023, Jahaad Ingram, 23, of Plainfield, and Zaire Wallace, 30, of Plainfield, were Found Guilty on The Charges of First Degree Murder; First Degree Attempted Murder; Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. During a Court Hearing on Friday, January 12, 2024, The Honorable John Deitch Sentenced Ingram and Wallace to an Aggregate Sentence of 78 Years in New Jersey State Prison, requiring each to Serve 85 Percent of The Term before becoming Eligible for Parole.


     The Conviction and Sentence stem from an incident, when on Friday, July 9, 2021, shortly before 2:00 p.m., Members of The Plainfield Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a Shooting at The Intersection of Rock Avenue and West Front Street in The City of Plainfield. Upon arrival, Police Officers found Two Victims suffering from Multiple Gunshot Wounds. Jennifer Vorn, 24, of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania had succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Second Victim Survived the Gunshot Injuries but was Permanently Paralyzed, according to The Prosecutor's Office.


     "I hope this sentence can provide some assurance to the victims' loved ones, as well as the community, that we will not tolerate these egregious offenses and will expend all of our efforts to bring the offenders to justice," expressed Prosecutor Daniel.
